Bobby Hurley has been on fire this offseason for Arizona State Sun Devils basketball. Hurley is in the works of creating a docu-series that will bring in a fat load of NIL to the program, but he's made the biggest waves through the 2024 recruiting class that has included the addition of two five-star recruits. A month ago, the Sun Devils added center Jayden Quaintance, who became the highest-rated recruit in program history. Yesterday, the Sun Devils flipped the commitment of shooting guard Joson Sanon from rival Arizona. Sanon has Arizona State Sun Devils basketball's stock at an all-time high. His addition to the program grabbed a lot of headlines, but the biggest domino to potentially fall will be the outlook for the future of this program. Hurley and the Sun Devils are clearly all in on the 2024-25 season, with anything short of an NCAA Tournamet appearance likely perceived as a failed season. But Sanon could also impact the program beyond this year to include the future of recruiting and the way this program is perceived.
