Very sexual descriptive

Should be rated and sold in porn store and not on audible. Very sexual descriptive for a mystery novel. I'm not into porno type books and has graphic details of sexual acts.

Don't waste your time or money

I was looking for an interesting mystery to keep me entertained on a long drive. This is NOT it. The detective portion took up about 15 minutes. The rest of the book is filled with very explicit sex scenes. Trust me, I am not a prude, but this had more sex than 50 Shades Of Gray! Good Lord, give it a rest! More plot, less fornication would be much more interesting. Wish I could get my money back...

Autor:: Christine Lehmann

Erzähler: Ueli Jäggi, Karoline Eichhorn, Klaus Spürkel, Christiane Bachschmidt, Pierre M. Krause

Format: Unabridged

Spieldauer: 47 mins

Sprache: Deutsch

Veröffentlichungsdatum: 05-05-15

Herausgeber: SWR Edition

Kategorien: Mysteries & Thrillers, Modern Detective

basic storyline is okay.

There are a lot of sentences that do not make sense and a lot of spelling errors. So one should have edited this book. I bought the series before I read this book or I don't think I would have bought these books.

murder mystery

The story has a great plot and keeps you guessing until the end. And it makes you want to steer clear of snow storms. Great murder mystery.

Good listen!

I really liked the book. I loved Willa and her spunk! You were kept on the edge of your waiting! I did not see the ending coming! I liked the flow of the story. I liked the narrator but she mispronounced a couple words and I didn't like the voice variations for different characters. Given copy for honest review.

Title: The Disposables

Author: David Putnam

Narrator: Branden Mckenzie

Format: Unabridged

Length: 8 hrs and 15 mins

Language: English

Release date: 03-10-15

Publisher: Oceanview Publishing

Ratings: 4 of 5 out of 7 votes

Genres: Mysteries & Thrillers, Modern Detective

Publisher's Summary:

Bruno Johnson, a tough street cop, member of the elite violent-crime task force, feared by the bad guys, admired by the good, finds his life derailed when a personal tragedy forces him to break the law. Now he's an ex-con, and his life on parole is not going well. He is hassled by the police at every opportunity, and, to make matters even more difficult, his former partner, Robby Wicks, now a high-ranking detective, bullies him into helping solve a high profile crime...unofficially, of course.

Meanwhile Bruno's girlfriend, Marie, brings out the good, real Bruno, and even though they veer totally outside the law, he and Marie dedicate themselves to saving abused children and creating a type of underground railroad for neglected kids at risk - disposable kids.

What they must do is perilous as they take matters into their own hands, battling a warped justice system and Bruno's former partner, who has his own evil agenda.

Members Reviews:

Reminiscent of "City Confidential" with true to life characters.

Excellent book! I want to hear more about Bruno when he was a BMF! It was like watching a movie. The suspense and characters were clear and concise in their roles. The anger of the characters to Bruno in what he had done to land in jail accurately described their emotion of disappointment in one of their own. Putman made me feel like I wanted to be a character in his book to meet Bruno and help him, Marie and Dad with their efforts to change the future. I wanted to be someone he could trust! I loved this book with the details of the city and landmarks.

Bruno's skill in putting everything together in his head, with his absolute toughness and his intellectual prowess was magnificent. This book needs to be a movie and don't leave a detail out. Everything clicks together. The cover does not give you an idea of what is inside so download it and read it, If you love reading about the way the police work to battle city crime, read this book!

Ex-cop wrecking ball tries to do the right thing

Author Dave Putnam dogs this story like his lead character dogs his missionâwith relentless momentum. Bruno Johnson, an already-damaged protagonist, has a plan. Itâs a flawed, seat-of-the-pants, hopeless plan, but Brunoâs all in, and heâs corralled his girlfriend and his dad into supporting it, at great risk to themselves.

Once part of an elite detail of supercops attached to the LA Sheriffâs Department and reminiscent of Gangster Squadâa cowboy contingent that holds itself above the law and operates in the grey area between the good guys and the criminalsâBruno is now an outsider. He has a prison record and a profile, but he still has his cop instincts and training, plus the street smarts he picked up on both sides of the law.

The authorâs experience in law enforcement shows in the brush strokes on every page. He gets the cop mentality, the criminal mentality, the shabbiness of the LA streets, and the goofy logic of not only crackheads and lowlife hustlers but also the bureaucracy called Child Protective Services. Then you get lines like this: âI pull the trigger without remorse . . . I give (him) a third eye to help him see his way to hell.â

Friends become enemies, enemies become allies, and everything unravels.

Title: Monument to Murder

Subtitle: Capital Crimes Series, Book 25

Author: Margaret Truman, Donald Bain

Narrator: Dick Hill

Format: Unabridged

Length: 11 hrs and 31 mins

Language: English

Release date: 02-04-15

Publisher: Brilliance Audio

Ratings: 4 of 5 out of 32 votes

Genres: Mysteries & Thrillers, Modern Detective

Publisher's Summary:

Times are tough in Savannah for former cop and current PI Robert Brixton, so when he agrees to take on a 20-year-old murder case, he figures he's got nothing to lose. It's not long before the trail leads him deep into the corrupt underbelly of Savannah's power elite and right into the lap of a secret government organization that's been offing "troublesome" politicians for decades. The cold case heats up when he joins forces with former attorneys Mackensie and Annabel Lee Smith to investigate the organization and the murders they committed in the name of patriotism.

With what he knows, Brixton can bring down Washington, D.C.'s leading social hostess, if not the administration itself. But can he outwit an organization that is hell-bent on keeping its secrets--secrets that go all the way back to the assassinations of Jack and Bobby Kennedy?

Margaret Truman brings us into the corridors of Washington power as only she can, where the end too often justifies the means, where good people are destroyed by those for whom the only goal is survival...whatever the cost.

Members Reviews:

A predictable storyline

The story was very weak and predictable . I could easily pull out some other stories and figure out the end in the middle . NOT one of the better Capital Crime stories.

Don't bother with this one. It's awful.

Terrible story line. Plodding narrator. Complete disaster. Too bad, as early books in series very good. This is a definite pass!
