Once again I was throughly entertained by Eve Paludan's great story and Mr. Wright's delivery of it. I enjoyed hearing how the relationships of the characters developed, and the references to favorite characters in other series as well. My only complaint is that this is a trilogy, and I'd like to visit the character's lives again. Thanks for escape!

A touch that can be deadly can also bring more love than you ever imagined

While I didn't read book one in this series it did not really hinder my ability in this one.

This book was a good one. Dani is afraid to touch anyone, it could cause a great deal of damage. Then she meets David. It all changes. She is still afraid to touch but he opens up a side of her she had not expected. While reading this I saw how she went through an internal battle with the past to make her future what she wanted. David also has baggage to over come while dealing with Dani. Someone he thought was an Ice Queen. The author writes in a way where you can really connect with the characters of the story. You can feel the struggle they are dealing with. And even though it is a story you can relate to how they struggle with the baggage.

This is a book that once you start reading you can not put it down until you are done. Now I will getting the other books in the series. I hope my review was helpful, it is really a good book that makes you care about the characters.

Good read

This is a really nice book. I did not read Volume 1, so I might have missed some facts about the people in this book, but still I could follow the story easly and figure out some details myself.

The story is quite fascinating, though I felt that the love theme was sometimes a little overstretched. I would have loved to hear a bit more about the Carver and his companion, for as they seemed to be pretty good villains. But this is all they were - bad guys - I could not get a closer look at them and therefore I never really bought the whole story. They never got really threatening for me...they were much too distant. On the other hand, Daniela and David, two main protagonists became pretty close. Even Holsten, who was never in the middle of events, was more familiar, then the two mean but mighty villains.

Still I liked the overall story and would love to know, how it goes on.

A preschool teacher and powerful witch, Dani has a fear that if she physically touches someone, she may accidentally hurt them with her powers. A "Real Western Slang Dictionary"

I can't say that I really liked it, but I can't say that I hated it either. It fell somewhere between the two, and for that, it's extremely forgettable. To be honest, I finished it yesterday, and I vaguely remember what took place in it.

The one and only action scene that took place was so quick, all it took was a flip of the page and it was over, otherwise, I thought the book was very clean during the intimate parts of the story, and for that, Kate Copeseeley deserves my respect.

Very well written and plot oriented, provided just the right amount of tunnel vision.

I really liked how she depicted the human race, and their ability to be bad pretending to be good. Very realistic, because I know people like that. The ones who have done something wrong, but only tell you bits and pieces of the truth in order to score your backing. Yeah, that was very realistic. And in the way that it actually painted the "head" demon in a positive light only added to it's realism. My applause.

I would recommend this book, simply because I love angel and demon stories.

One chapter...oh yay...

This is basically sold chapter by chapter...one of my pet peeves...BUT...it gets worse...

For those who love their short series, this could be good for them...but it is dumb as hell and has so many holes it is ridiculous.

There isn't anything else I can say about this one chapter "book" without putting a spoiler in my review...So I will stick to this...I do NOT recommend it.

The Angel & Her Gun

This short story was awesome! I started getting sleepy it was so good I had to finish. Somora the gunslinger and Gideon the fallen Angel have a love for each other like no other great story.

"Don't Judge a Book By Its Magic

The book up for review is "Don't Judge A Book By Its Magic " By Kate Policani

Having read Kate's previous book I was excited to get a chance to read her latest one. They say every book needs a hook to draw in your readers and make them read the novel through. Kate did not accomplish that on the first page. She accomplished it on the first, second, third , fourth and before you knew it the chapter had ended. It has been ages since a book has done this for me. As a beta reader and also a reviewer for BookSneeze this does not come across my desk often.

This book is adult fiction but is appropriate for YA because there is no objectionable content. The main character is 18. Colleen who is your typical teenager lives in Seattle. Only she is not which is uknown to her. She has magic powers but not your ordinary run of the mill magic tricks that you see witches and wizards do, that is so not in the same realm.

Finding a book in a near by library transforms her life as she knows it. But not only that the people who are like her have taken noticed. You see Collen is one of a kind. One with powers who has lived in the real world as a Skupdyn which is a nonmagical person. Her adventures begins to unfold as she is enrolled in a college with like minded students.

I am so glad Kate has placed in the beginning a Glossary of Terms in the front of the book. It was a huge help for me to refer to so I could make sure I was getting things right.

A great read, it does not take long to finish and another fine piece of writing by Kate.

A fun, refreshing style

In true Kate Policani style, Don't Judge a Book By Its Magic is highly original, quirky and light-hearted. In some respects it's almost a parody of contemporary YA fantasy.

Colleen, an ordinary teenager with excessive gushiness--especially when surrounded by lots of hot guys--reads a book about a magical `river' running through Seattle. Next thing she discovers that she can see it. Before she knows what's happening, someone's got wind of it and she's whisked away from her parents to a special school for people like her--people who can do magic. Though they don't call it magic. They call it lots of unpronounceable words.

worse audio performances ever

Would you try another book from Mysty McPartland and/or Amber May?

The book was great I have read many of this author's books and love them. But the narrator needs to find another job. This is not for her. After this review I am returning the audio and only staying with the book. It was like hearing a kind read. This needs to be redone or be free. Well not even free I would take it. To many mistakes. All should be ashamed that you as a company sell this low grade work.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The female lead had alot of fire and knew how to speak up even to her alpha male of a husband.

How could the performance have been better?

Get another person to redo this book. To many mistakes my son of 9 years old can read better. The book had no mistakes but was read as if it did and this was a highland book the voice would talk as cowboy or England's english. No joy in reading or was like force to read this book and was rushing to finish.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Very disappointing that a book that could be very well enjoyed was destroy but this so call narrator. A went through many feelings sad and angry for me and the author to have her hard work damage by a person not professional enough to do the work correctly.

Any additional comments?

The company's should be ashamed for paying and distributing this work. The so called narrator needs to return the money or redo the narration. This was a rush job. You can hear alot of other things going on which you can say might have been done at home with a simple recorder then send to the company.

Steamy, YES, but not your typical romance novel. Kudos to Navarre

The Golden Age of England is threatened and the timeline of history as we know it will be changed forever if powerful forces of Heaven and Hell, Faerie and Mortal have their way.

Laura Navarre has done it again. "Midsummer Magick," the second book in her "Magick Trilogy" series is not your typical bodice-ripper romance novel. Navarre exquisitely interlaces the adventure of Arthurian legend, the timelessness of angelic lore, the intrigue of the English Tudor court, the magic of the Faerie realm, and deliciously passionate love scenes in this spellbinding novel. The mesmerizing story line will sweep you into its world and may even have you wondering if this alternate reality that Navarre constructed for her "Magick Trilogy" series might just exist somewhere, in some time.

Love this story!

What made the experience of listening to Pearls the most enjoyable?

I love the story of Honor and her ancestors. The depiction of the late 1800s and early 1900s is realistic. And to use the historic Bellview Hotel is awesome. I am a historical buff and genealogy buff so this story really appealed to me.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Darcy was my favorite character. She overcame so much in her life.

Have you listened to any of Emily Gittelmans other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, I am not impressed with the Narrator. I found her voice almost irritating.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
