Enjoying Book 5, just wish I didn't have to do it in segments, which means I have to find another good book to tide me over until Volume 3 comes out. I wish I knew the reason the author did this! Makes one wonder how many volumes Book 5 has! An entertaining read though.

I read the immortal destiny books these books are about the sisters. What I don't understand is how is Omar killed in the last immortal destiny book but is alive in the light seeker series when the events in the light seekers happened after the immortal destiny books? All I want to know is when book 4 is coming out

I'm sure as this series moves along, I'll like it more. Right now, it's waiting to find out what's going on with the main character, Hailey. I'm excited that they've carried over characters from the previous series!!

Definitely grab this amazing story!

Note: I was given an advance copy of this book to beta read. I did however buy the final book upon its release and this unsolicited review refers to the purchased copy.

WHAT I LIKED:

At only 47 pages, this is a very short book, but I hardly noticed the length when I was reading. Tara wasted no time in immersing the reader in the story, and truthfully I felt I knew Cillian and Everly better than I have the main characters in some full length novels. I also loved the unique premise of the story. Rarely do you find a story centered around The Sandman. At first, I was a little afraid that I would find the physical attraction between Cillian and Everly hard to believe given the short length, but Tara did a beautiful job of making it quite believable. The blend of tension, both sexual and from the conflict of The Sandman, kept me enthralled. I also want to note that the editing of this novella was superb. I can't remember any areas where mistakes jumped out at me.

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE

Honestly, I wish this could have been a bit longer. This story was so interesting, the characters so rich, and the villain was wonderful. I hated that it had to end! I also wish there had been a little more dialog between Cillian and Everly. That's a minor gripe though, because you get plenty of insight into the individual characters.

OVERALL VERDICT: 5 Blue Duckies!!

Review: The Shade, by Tara S. Wood

A shade, different realms at play, and a passion strong enough to risk eternal damnation for. That's what can be found within the pages of Tara S. Wood's The Shade.

Wood does a beautiful job of setting up the world in which Everly dreams. The descriptions threw me right into the story running along side by side with the MC. I felt what she felt, I feared what she feared. The real world settings were also just as descriptive, painting a picture just as beautiful but still allowing the reader to feel there was a difference in mood between the dream realm and the real world realm. The third realm that shows up in this novella is just as well written. This is the one in which The Sandman and Cillian dwell. It's not a nice place.

The passion The Shade, Cillian, has for the human Everly is what drives this story. While there are more aspects of this story than the romance, they aren't as played out for the reader to grasp onto. It's a non-stop journey through the different realms as Cillian attempts to work his way into Everly's world and Everly tries to figure out who this mysterious man of her dreams is.

Don't worry, there's conflict worth reading about as well. Aside from Everly being utterly confused by the mysterious Cillian, the fear from her dreams reaches its way into her ever day life making it difficult for her to function. She's a writer. Even writers need some sleep to work better.

This One Is Going In The Book Bag !

As a reader of previous titles by this author, I was sorely disappointed with the direction this book took. I think M.S. Weyrich decided to try her hand at erotisism. She surely missed her mark and the point with this book!She starts with a shared ancient artifact with mystical powers, a handsome egyptian sailor, reincarnation and time travel. It all goes downhill from there. As a faithful Weyrich reader I suffered through the whole book never giving up hope that the story would gain some substance.But "no such luck". Instead M.S. Weyrich subjects the reader to love scenes that could be called nothing less than obscene. She depicts the soul of the main character Pia, as inhabiting the body of Cleopatra while Cleopatra makes love to their shared lover Darius. What is really hard to swallow is that because Pia is writing a book about Cleopatra she goes along for the ride as an observer/participant, when Darius and Cleopatra make love. M.S. Weyrich then concentrates on the story of Cleopatra with the Pia's entity as the observer.Than get this...Pia and Darius try to sneak time together behind Cleo's back when she is asleep with Pia still in her body. In my opinion this book was not very well thought out. As soon as Cleopatra gets bitten by the infamous asp the author rushes to conclude the story with a very poor ending I might add.

Love Everlasting

This book takes you on a love roller coaster. It starts with a vacation that turns into the best adventure ever noted. Olympia, Pia Bird, desperately wants a piece of rock that is believed to be chipped from the great Alexander the Great. Ironically, the peddler that introduced the beautiful stone to Pia Bird has sold it by the time she found her father, to a handsome young man with golden locks named Darius. The golden haired hunk gives Pia a piece of tbe stone and from there the book takes you on an emotional roller coaster into the life of Cleopatra, The Great Julius Caesar, Mark Antony, Darius and Olympia. This book is filled with on the edge writing. The author exhibits a strong story into tbe life of Cleopatra and how she loved. Cleopatra exudes strength, courage and wisdom. Through this power, Olympia learns what it is to love. I enjoyed the way the book takes you back and forth from current day to noted history.

Past life hauntings.....

I really enjoyed this story. Its a grat paranormal romance with historical aspects. It is well written and the characters are very well developed. I love all the different supernatural aspects from the past life experiences and the gypsy magic to the faries and spirits. I look forward to reading more from this author.

I like this author

I like this author, but not this book. I didn't like the story line, or the characters. I'm surprised I even finished it, although I skipped over so many pages I probably only read about half the book.

This is a love story like no other I have ever read, a story of a love that is timeless and endless.

Caroline has overcome a horrible upbringing, being raised by an alcoholic foster mother who was only in it for the money. Now, she is married to Phillip, her very own night in shining armour who has given her an amazing life living in her dream house. Phillip is fifteen years older than Caroline but the age difference has never been an issue because she is very mature for her age, and it has often been commented on that she is "an old soul".

Caroline has been experiencing strange dreams that have recently become rather disruptive to her daily life. They are becoming more intense, causing her sleep to become regularly interrupted and Caroline to be suffering from sleep deprivation. In the dreams she is running through a wooded area in the foothills of a mountain, she feels as if she is searching for someone, somebody really important to her. She also gets the sense of feeling at home in that area. As the dreams progress, the urgency to find this person she is searching for becomes more intense, more desperate.

Phillip is such a sweet guy, he is very supportive of Caroline and tries his hardest to get her help for this issue. Caroline begins undergoing therapy to get answers and the story that is uncovered really blew me away. I was so impressed with the authors writing and story-telling ability. This book is so beautifully and well written it was almost like I was witnessing the feelings and emotions of the characters like I was actually there. For an author to be able to evoke such empathy for the characters' plights is a true talent and it is clear after reading this book that K.A.

What did you love best about Scarlet Vamporium?

Reading about Elindt as a teenager.It was so eye opening,I got a glimpse of what made her into the adult she became.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Scarlet Vamporium?

There are so many,what stands out first for me is when Elindt first set eyes on Douglas and when he notices her, they bond right away and it is the sweetest thing.

Which character as performed by Paul Woodson was your favorite?

I got a kick out of his performance as Elindt.

Poppet has a way of making you live the story along with her characters,I laughed when the dialogue was witty and I cried for Elindt when once again she was denied happiness.

Ich habe die Bücher bisher an jeden weiterempfohlen, der schöne Fanatsy-Geschichten mag und bis jetzt habe ich NUR positive Rückmeldung bekommen. Zitat:"Das ist mal eine schöne traumhafte Geschichte, du hast nicht zu viel versprochen! Definitv eine Verflimung wert!!" oder "Ja, jetzt kann ich echt verstehen, warum du soooo süchtig nach diesen Büchern bist! Ich hole sie mir auch selber!"

The Danger with Sinners

The Danger with Sinners is another sure fire hit for Charity Parkerson. She never misses the mark. I love these characters and the new views on historical events. I am so glad I bought the whole series at the same time. I could not put it down.

Three stories (sort of) in one

Have to admit I like the first story, it read like a supernatural spy mystery. Undercover PI, vampires, were creatures, beautiful people who were not whom they seemed. Good stuff

Story two, the spied on becomes the ancient Egyptian demi God with a heart. The characters were not well drawn and the love story was hard to believe.

(Short) Story three, had to check the cover since it involved two previous minor characters in hard core snoogin. Did not expect it. It has seems out of place.

In all not clear how the book won awards. As Sci Fi horror stories to it was very weak and more than derivative.

Passion

Charity Parkerson did it again. Another 5 star novel. The book is full og secrets, passion, action and love. I wish I wasn't finished with this book. I look forward to reading much more from this brilliant author.

Otherwordly Romance, Drama, and Intrigue!

Charity Parkerson is in a class by herself when it comes to otherworldly creatures that interact among us humans. It is difficult to pigeonhole her into one genre; yes, there are vampires, and there is some erotica (okay, a lot of erotica!), but there is a depth that is not evident in many of the vampire/erotica novels that are offered to the readers of that genre. Parkerson's rules of the otherworld are clearly defined, and her characters possess emotions that are neither black nor white, lending credibility to the series as a body of work. Her works are connected, but stand alone as well, since each contains a different plot with a new set of characters. Her novels depict beautiful and seemingly perfect humans and immortals, but they carry adult angst and sometimes very realistic emotions of anger, lust, isolation, and insecurity.

For example, in Danger with Sinners, we are prepared to vilify one Tacha Vasiliev for being a Vampire who is corrupting and tainting the entire world. What comes to light is different from what we expected to find, since the expectation is that the "good" always win out.

frustratingly wonderful read!

I should have seen it coming, yet I naively delved into this second book of the Night Songs trilogy feeling that I'd have a nice little packaged up ending- all questions answered. Instead I was harshly slapped in the face with another amazing cliff hanger of an ending. Well played Ms. Strassel, well played! With that aside, I have to say that Night Moves was such a fabulous, fun, albeit nail-biter of a book. I began reading feeling very skeptical as I really felt that I was only interested in what happened to Callie (of Because the Night), where we last left off. However I was soon just fine with leaving her aside for the time being and getting further into the new cast and crew of Night Moves. As cliche as it sounds, I truly could not put this book down once I started. The first chapter delivered a very shocking twist that both surprised me and compelled me to keep reading. Kristen Strassels's writing style is again able to create such a clear picture to the reader of every detail, making it very easy to slip deeply into the story line and develop a strong empathy for those that we may not typically relate to. I loved how she so slowly, yet seemlessly melded the characters in Night Moves into the setting and storyline of Because the Night. Although I certainly did not end this book feeling satisfied, I can assure you that I am so thirsty for more. I cannot wait to see what happens next.

If you enjoy vampires, rock bands, and a dark edge, I recommend grabbing a copy and diving in for a thrill.

Characters: Human and vampire alike, Kristen created a diverse and dynamic cast in NIGHT MOVES. Every character has depth and dimension that you don't always find in a book filled with vampires or rock stars (or in this case vampire rock stars). I found characters to love, hate, sympathize with, and cheer for within the pages of NIGHT MOVES.

Relationships: This book isn't just about what happens between Ryder and Melanie.
