A few years ago I read two pieces of information that changed the way I will invest for the rest of my life.
1. Australia's metro markets have outperformed its regional markets by over 85% in the last 20 years, according to Core Logic. 2. Property prices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth all grew by an average amount of 9% per annum between 1976 and 2016, according to Homely.
As soon as I read this information I decide to only invest in metro and major regional markets moving forward and to stick to the biggest capital cities.
