Comfort is one of the worst addictions we can have. Doing the same things over and over makes us complacent. It keeps us from being tested or stretching ourselves.
How does being uncomfortable help us become stronger, better versions of ourselves?
This episode is a glimpse into how you can use being uncomfortable to increase your confidence, become more resilient, and be a better version of you.
Do you want to a better relationship? Have you been wishing for a higher paying job? Has you goal been to become more fit or lose weight?
All of these things depend on one thing. You ability to endure and choose being uncomfortable.
You can't have a fantastic relationship without challenging yourself to be more present and give more to the person you want to have a better relationship with.
If you want a better job, you must be willing to learn new skills and elevate your ability to do the new job.
When you want to loose weight or become more fit, you have to decide you will make better choices that are very often uncomfortable. Less cake, cookie, and sugar filled coffee and more greens. Maybe you have to park your car further away so you walk more. You might even have to walk to the farmers market instead of drive!
When you choose to be uncomfortable for future gain you will become a more confident version of yourself. You realize how much more you are capable of and you will become better and better at doing what other people aren't willing to do.
