In 2018 his career came crashing down as he resigned as Australia’s Test Captain, and then subsequently banned from the sport after his part in the ball-tampering scandal during a tour of South Africa. After serving the suspension, he returned for the 2019 Ashes Series – where he was ready to make up for lost time.
