October 12, 2018 Bhagavan Das: Confessions of a Spiritual Playboy
In this episode I speak with Bhagavan Das, who became famous in the early 1970s after Ram Dass featured him in the book that started the American yoga boom, Be Here Now.
His fame led to him becoming something of a rockstar in the burgeoning spiritual scene, leading kirtans for thousands of people all over the world, gaining followers and groupies and infamy as a “spiritual playboy”. Recently, Bhagavan Das released an open letter on Facebook acknowledging and apologizing for his mistreatment of women during this time, and is actively engaging in a campaign to open up a dialogue around this issue, in an attempt to right past wrongs and learn from his mistakes. His hashtag for this campaign is #morehearnow, which emphasizes the importance of listening as we move forward on the path toward reconciliation and healing the male/female dynamic in our culture and the world.

October 07, 2018 Gary Kraftsow: Yoga Therapy & Tantra
On this episode, I speak with yoga therapy pioneer Gary Kraftsow. Gary has been instrumental in the development of yoga therapy in America over the past 40 years.
He began his study of yoga in India with T.K.V. Desikachar in 1974 and received his Masters Degree in Psychology and Religion from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1983. In 1999, he founded the American Viniyoga Institute. Since then, he has become a renowned speaker and teacher and has authored two books that I highly recommend, Yoga for Wellness and Yoga for Transformation.

September 24, 2018 MPP19 Rachel Harris PhD: Listening to Ayahuasca
Rachel Harris is the author of Listening to Ayahuasca, New Hope for Depression, Addiction, PTSD, and Anxiety, and a psychologist with both a research and a clinical background. She was in the 1968 Residential Program at Esalen Institute, Big Sur, CA and remained on the staff for a number of years. She also worked as a psychological consultant to Fortune 500 companies including the UN. Rachel was in private psychotherapy practice for thirty-five years specializing in people interested in psychospiritual development.
In 2005, Rachel began working with the South American plant medicine ayahuasca, which became the main focus of her work since retiring as a clinical counsellor. In this episode, we get into some of her research on the healing benefits of ayahuasca, the keys to realizing longterm, lasting change after a psychedelic experience, psychedelics and psychotherapy and lots more.

Richard Miller is a clinical psychologist, author, researcher, yogic scholar, spiritual teacher and founder of the iRest Yoga Nidra protocol for healing trauma.
For over 40 years, he has devoted his life and work to integrating the nondual wisdom teachings of Yoga, Tantra, Advaita, Taoism, and Buddhism with Western psychology and neuroscience. Among his mentors were Jean Klein, T.K.V. Desikachar, and Stephen Chang.
Richard is the co-founder of The International Association of Yoga Therapy and founding editor of the professional Journal of IAYT. Richard is also a founding member and past president of the Institute for Spirituality and Psychology. Robert Tindall is the author of The Jaguar That Roams the Mind, The Shamanic Odyssey: Homer, Tolkien, and the Visionary Experience and Sacred Soil: Biochar and the Regeneration of the Earth. In this conversation we talk about his exploration of indigenous healing traditions of North and South America, including his work with ayahuasca and peyote, and get into a discussion about mythology and the hero's journey.
Robert's Bio:
Robert Tindall, M.A. is a writer, father, classical guitarist, long-time practitioner of Zen Buddhism, and an inveterate traveler, whose work explores the crossing of frontiers into other cultures, time depths, and states of consciousness. He is the author of three books on shamanism and indigenous lifeways, "The Jaguar that Roams the Mind," "The Shamanic Odyssey: Homer, Tolkien, and the Visionary Experience," and "Sacred Soil: Biochar and the Regeneration of the Earth," along with numerous articles on themes such as pilgrimage along the Camino to Santiago, the medieval quest, and the indigenous prophetic and healing traditions of the Americas.
Robert works as a professor of Literature, a leader of writing workshops, and a meditation instructor. He divides his time between the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas, Mendocino, and the San Francisco Bay Area.
