On today’s Hunt the World Brian and Brad discuss felt recoil. When you fire a round the felt recoil is the backward kick you get from your gun, measured in foot-pounds. It can be mild or severe depending upon a lot of factors, your body weight, the type of ammo you use and the weight of your rifle. There are huge advantages to creating a situation where you lessen the felt recoil as much as possible. The biggest advantage is the ability to follow your shot.
