Rivian is apparently working on an E-Bike concept, that could launch under a different/new brand. This has been confirmed by RJ Scaringe, saying that a team of engineers is working on an electric bike product for Rivian. It's unclear if the bike would have pedals and to what extent it would be battery powered. I love this concept and think it fits in perfectly with the Rivian adventure brand niche. I'm a big fan and can't wait to learn more about this when the company is ready.

Rivian has successfully launched it's R1T, R1S and delivery van products, they are amazing. But financially, the company is in a difficult situation. Cash burn is still above $1B per quarter, and the company will need billions more to fund the R2 factory. Going forward it will be fascinating to see the company walk the tightrope between conserving cash, growth and the long march towards profitability. Starlink has officially announced that it has crossed 2.3M users across 70 countries. A rough financial estimate of $100/month/user in revenue means Starlink is at $2.8B in annual recurring revenue. If you add in hardware revenue, we're likely well over a $3B run-rate. Starlink is fully owned by SpaceX, and is rumored to be going for an IPO in the near future. I got super pumped to see these strong user numbers as it puts SpaceX one step closer to funding Mars!

From urban package deliveries, to minbus ride-sharing, an autonomous Tesla Robovan has massive potential. Rivian's electric delivery van concept has delivered 10,000 units to Amazon and on the cusp of expanding to numerous other companies (like AT&T). Elon Musk has hinted at a highly configurable robovan concept for people and cargo in the past. If he does indeed launch it, I think it would crush Rivian's model and could quickly ramp to 100,000s of units per year between package delivery, camper vans and urban ridesharing/minibus. Tesla's advantage in battery costs and manufacturing would give it a key edge in this market. What do you think of a Tesla Robovan/Cybervan? Rivian's electric delivery van (EDV) business has quietly been making some huge moves. It generated over $400M in revenue in Q3 alone, and just signed a new partnership with AT&T. Now that Amazon doesn't have exclusive rights to buy the van Rivian will begin to do pilot projects with a bunch of new customers. Surprisingly, the gross margins on the van are strong, and this will be a key driver of the company's march towards profitability. Rivian's van business/fleet business is already at a $1.2B+ run-rate ... how big do you think it can get??

Cybertruck deliveries have begun! With a 2M order backlog the question now becomes how many of these will convert into real orders. In this video I share my projections for Cybertruck sales and demand. Five out of the top eight best-selling vehicles in America are pickup trucks, with a combined 2.1M in sales. Tesla has unveiled Gen 2 of it's Optimus Robot ... and WOW, the progress in the past year has been incredible. Tesla is well on their way to commercializing a humanoid robot later this decade. This represents the biggest change in Tesla's addressable market ever, as the potential sales from a humanoid robot to replace manual labor could be $25T. For long-term Tesla investors this is a must watch project. People thought Elon Musk was crazy when he told the world about this AI project ... but it's getting closer to reality by the day. Wow ... It looks like Elon Musk is set to buy Twitter for $44B. My predictions of what happens next for Twitter? Elon scales twitter to 1B+ users, launches a new version of Twitter Blue to verify humans product, open-sources the algorithm, and introduces a cryptocurrency payment layer. Overall I'm STOKED about the potential changes Elon will bring, and how that will make the platform more usable and fun for creatives all around the world! Go free speech!
