A former CIA officer and the creator of the hit TV series The Americans makes the case that America's policy towards Russia is failing-and we'll never fix it until we rethink our relationship.

Coming of age in America in the 1970s and 80s, Joe Weisberg was a Cold Warrior. After briefly studying Russian in Leningrad, he joined the CIA in 1990-just in time to watch the Soviet Union collapse.



But less than a decade after the first Cold War ended, a new one broke out. Russia changed in many of the ways that America hoped it might-more capitalist, more religious, more open to Western ideas. But US sanctions have crippled Russia's economy; and Russia's interventions have exacerbated political problems in America. The old paradigm-America, the free capitalist good guys, fighting Russia, the repressive communist bad guys-simply doesn't apply anymore. But we've continued to act as if it does.



In this bold and controversial book, Joe Weisberg interrogates these assumptions, asking hard questions about American policy and attempting to understand what Russia truly wants. Russia Upside Down makes the case against the new Cold War. It suggests that we are fighting an enemy with whom we have few if any serious conflicts of interest. It argues that we are fighting with ineffective and dangerous tools. And most of all, it aims to demonstrate that our approach is not working.



With our own political system in peril and continually buffeted by Russian attacks, we need a new framework, urgently. Russia Upside Down shows the stakes and begins to lay out that new plan, at a time when it is badly needed.

Josh Hurt, a native of San Antonio, Texas and one of its most sought after and recognized singers, brings an energetic and refreshing sound to music. He sang his first solo in church at the age of 7 and since then his love for music has grown and now it is very evident that it’ll always be a part of his life.  


Joshua, with his musical talent, has the ability to appeal to the young as well as the seasoned audience. He musically discloses traditional gospel, while at the same time he possesses the gift to croon the more modern Christian & Inspirational music. Still in his twenties, he states, “I want to be able to appeal to all ages with my music and be more than the traditional gospel artist that some of my critics assumed I was destined to become. I believe God is showing me how to be more universal with my sound.” Josh is blessed with the opportunity to sing at many conferences, mostly called upon to lead praise & worship. In 2002, Joshua became Minister of Music and lead singer at Harvest Ministries, a thriving and progressive ministry in San Antonio, Texas.


Since then, he has become a music advisor, vocal coach in San Antonio for many ministries and has helped in the organization and growth of several music ministries. Along with its founder, Joshua helped organize The Breakthrough Community Choir, United Praise, and Divine Favor all of San Antonio, Texas under Breakthrough Gospel Promotions.

 
Undeniably called to musically bridge denominational gaps, Josh carries a burden for uniting believers to worship the Father in spirit and in truth. It is further his desire to inspire and encourage other young men to cast aside the tough guy stereotype and relentlessly pursue the presence of God in worship. Josh also mentors worship leaders of various ages, frequently being called upon to help them bridge the gap in their churches between Traditional Gospel and Christian Contemporary Music sounds. He is often requested to lead Praise and Worship workshops as well as conduct choir workshops.

After walking away from what could have been a tragic automobile accident in early 2015. Josh credits God’s hand of deliverance for giving him a new lease on life. With even greater determination than before, he is taking full advantage of each day God gives him to do the will of the Father.

ALICIA WITT BIO




Actor and singer-songwriter Alicia Witt has been acting since the age of 7, when she made her film debut in David Lynch's sci fi classic Dune. She was most recently seen in I Care A Lot on Netflix, starring Rosamund Pike and Dianne Wiest, and leading the cast of the December release Modern Persuasion.




Other recent credits include Netflix's Orange Is The New Black as Zelda; along with The Walking Dead, Supernatural, ABC's Nashville, FOX's The Exorcist, and Showtime's 3rd season of David Lynch's Twin Peaks. Films include Two Weeks' Notice, Last Holiday, The Upside of Anger, Mr. Holland's Opus, Urban Legend, Four Rooms, 88 Minutes, Urban Legend and Vanilla Sky.

Alicia is also well known to Hallmark Channel audiences for her Christmas movies, beginning with 2013's A Very Merry Mixup; her eighth annual holiday film for the network, Christmas Tree Lane, which she produced, wrote the story for, and featured two of Witt's original Christmas songs, was released for the 2020 holiday season.




Witt co-produced her next album, The Conduit, with Jordan Lehning and Bill Reynolds in Nashville TN, where she resides. Chisa is a singer/songwriter currently living in Los Angeles, California. She got her start writing songs at the age of 15 when she was gifted her first guitar and started teaching herself how to play it. Don’s sound involves either an acoustic guitar or a piano, as those two are his most enjoyable instruments to write on. Don aims for an acoustic sound, with a great hook to keep his tracks memorable. Instead of writing songs in a specific genre, Don likes to write about his current emotions and feelings, allowing the song itself to determine the genre. Influenced by Juice Wrld, Ed Sheeran, Jon Bellion, Lauv and Ryan Tedder, Don is motivated by their skill and creativity in song writing.

Don started off as a classical piano player but didn’t really enjoy it that much. He started learning how to play an acoustic guitar and how to sing from Youtube videos. This was when he really started to enjoy music again, but this time relearning in the genre of Pop.

Don started his music making journey in 2015, when he decided to study music performance at university, he decided that music was more than just a hobby.
