Yes, it's the end of January, but it's not too late to create your vision for the year. So, today my guest, L'areal Lipkins will give you actionable tips you can use to create your own vision/goal board if you have not already done so.
I have dubbed L'areal, the QUEEN of Vision Boards and I really enjoyed the online class I took from her and knew I wanted to share her concepts about vision boards with all of you. Our conversation is fun and enlightening and it had me create my board in an entirely different way than I’ve done before. I focused more on my goals, rather than just my dreams. And we talk all about that and the difference between a goal board and a dream board.
L’areal created her business, A Woman with Vision, after she successfully turned her own goals into reality, by getting clear on her vision and focusing on her mindset. Yup, turns out that if we don't believe we deserve something, how can we possibly hope to achieve it. Yup - aha moment for sure.
L'areal is the author of the book A woman with Vision, leads workshops, is a dynamic public speaker and works with women, individually and in groups, to help them clarify their vision to step into the life they were created to live.
If you are enjoying my podcast, please share with your pals, so we can bring more light into everyone's life!
Shine on!

Having been a seeker of information on all things spiritual, I have read a lot, listened to many podcasts and had my own experiences in the realm of what can not be seen by our physical eyes. HOWEVER, until I came across William Peters and his book, At Heavens Door, I had not heard of the Shared Death Experience. I was aware of NDE’s or near death experiences, where someone who has been extremely ill, or been in a horrifying accident, leaves their body, sees the great white light and then returns to their body knowing they still have lessons to learn or teach in the here and now. In fact, my own mother had an NDE when I was about 12, she was having surgery to remove a tumor and left her body watching the surgeons operate. This seemed normal to me. That's how I was brought up!
However, a shared death experience was a new concept for me. It is as it sounds, where someone accompanies a soul as it leaves its body on to the next plane of existence, and yet they are still a living, healthy human. It is really fascinating and William Peters has written his book about what shared journeys to the after life teach the living about dying well and living better.
William is a global leader in shared death studies and has spent decades studying the end of life experience. After he experienced two NDE’s, worked in Hospice and with Aid’s patients and many other near dying, he began the exploration into SDE’s. These extraordinary moments are recounted in his book, discussed and explained. He gives us great reasons about how and why they occur and how they can help us live a better life. William is a practicing grief and bereavement therapist who holds degrees from Harvard and Berkeley. He is compassionate, warm and just a super kind and interesting human.
I absolutely know you will learn something from this episode that will help you appreciate your life. I am grateful to William for sharing his knowledge with me, us, and I am grateful to all of you for listening.
Perhaps this episode will resonate with you or someone you know. If so, please share.

Todays guest is Kevin Krenitsky the author of a soon to be released book entitled The Still Point, The Simplicity of Spiritual Enlightenment. Kevin has been, at times, a professional, rock musician, a medical doctor and a business executive. Despite leading what others might consider a very successful life, he lived with a deep background of anxiety, fear and stress that came in and out of his life since he was a child. At the age of 40 he reasoned there must be another way and he began a decade studying non duality by way of A Course in Miracles. We go into what exactly is non duality, what is the ego and how to become more aware, in fact that is the mantra I took away from this book. I am aware!
It’s a fascinating conversation that gets quite philosophical and as you will hear me proclaim, help, I feel like I’m in a college philosophy class with so many questions.
I learned, as you will, that the ego doesn’t exist, love is the recognition of what we truly are and we all have access to the still point.
As usual, thanks for tuning in and if you are enjoying the podcast I hope you will continue to share with your friends, lets keep igniting sparks ok?

Welcome back to a new episode of the podcast and to kick off 2022, I have the shining light that is Phoebe Leona as my first guest of 2022. Phoebe's mission right now in life is to offer new experiences for people to be more embodied and empowered in their own lives so that they can live a fuller life with more joy, confidence and connection. Yee ha....I agree with that.
Phoebe had a life altering year in 2013 when her perfect marriage with the dream man and the dream house dissolved and during the same year her Dad, with whom she had recently reconnected, passed away. Phoebe took the necessary time to heal and from the ashes of her old life was born noMad. As a lifelong dancer, a yoga and pilates instructor, and a seeker, Phoebe created offerings to help others including her signature program Mvt109. A new movement, an experience which takes the body through a journey of exploring the patterns we hold, the stagnant energies we have not visited or given awareness to and gives it a safe place to explore them by way of the release of the old and the grounding of oneself to manifest something new.
We discuss the meaning of noMad, how it came to be and how what Phoebe does can help us all rebuild relationships, reinvent ourselves and so much more. Let her resiliency rub off on you as you hear her story and begin to reinvent your own self.
Phoebe has graciously offered my listeners a discount code for her program Mvt109. Use the code Magic200 for $200 off of this life changing experience.

In my last podcast of the year, I have the pleasure of interviewing one of the guests from season one, Amanda Dahl. In that episode (18) we talked about the power of the energy healing modality Reiki.
In this new episode, Amanda shares information on her latest offering, EMOTION CODE. She combines this with all of her other healing modalities to give each of her clients the healing they need for their particular issues. Along with Reiki, bio magnetic pairing, somatic experience and now Emotion Code work, Amanda works with those suffering from chronic illness, Lyme disease etc, and the testimonials for her work speak for themselves.
Amanda took the energy healing scene by storm after her own intense journey with chronic illness. With her gentle guidance and fresh approach, clients who have "tried everything," enjoy accelerated healing and renewed hope. Physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are considered as Amanda leads clients to a life of health and new possibilities. All work is done virtually so clients can heal in the comfort of home.
About the EMOTION CODE WORK: This unique form of energy work recognizes that our emotions each have an energetic frequency. Emotions such as guilt and fear have very low frequencies, while emotions such as peace and love rank very high.
Emotion Code works with the understanding that these low-frequency emotions can be trapped in our bodies, creating physical dis-ease. Often, this occurs due to past traumatic events, such as abuse, injuries, chronic stress, and more. During a session, Amanda works to identify these trapped emotions and release them one at a time.
I have experienced this and it was amazing what Amanda uncovered for me.

Chiara and Bianca D'Ambrosio are my delightful, sparkly guests. They are 16 year old identical twins who have been in the entertainment industry since they were 2 and a half. They are wise beyond their years, charming, grounded, kind and inspiring. They are YouTube sensations, have been featured in so many TV shows, music videos and movies and they are setting the world on fire with their unique blend of positivity and talent.
Chiara and Bianca made their first music video at the age of 8 when they sang a song called "Let Your Light Shine", a song written by their uncle to take an anti bullying stance. We talk about how they were bullied when younger and how that has helped them grow into the people they are today. They also use their platform to encourage animal welfare, and they donate time, money and resources to other organizations including Alzheimer's research.
These young women are the real deal, they truly care about making a difference through their art and through their actions. Both are headed off to college in the fall - still TBD as of this airing.
Inspiring people can be found at any age, and if they are indicative of the future of our world, then we will be in good hands.

Are you ready to follow your yellow brick road? My guest today, Michael Shevack is the author of 6 books, but the one we speak about today is called Soul Lessons from the Wizard of Oz, how to follow your yellow brick road. Inspiring. intriguing and spiritual, the lessons outlined in Michael's book are there to help us learn how to experience greater happiness, greater prosperity and greater sense of self.
You probably took away the lesson that "you have always had the power", as Glinda proclaims to Dorothy before she clicks her ruby red slippers. However, Michael unearths so many more nuggets of wisdom along the yellow brick road. He espouses that all the characters from the story are part of the spiritual path to being a powerful, enlightened soul.
In our conversation we talk about how life gives us lessons to help us grow, and boy did Dorothy have to navigate her way through Oz – with all the ups and downs, twists and turns and various paths to take. Just like we ourselves do as humans living right here and now. . Assisted by the Good Witch Glinda, her spirit animal Toto and her three special friends Dorothy has to learn to trust in something higher than her will and her mind, and most importantly she has to own her own power and not give it away.
And that’s just a snippet of our chat.
Michael has also quthored 5 other books, was an award winning Madison avenue advertising creative director who devised the Gillette slogan, The Best a man can get (for those of you over a certain age). He was ordained as a Rabbi in 1995, has taught spirituality and comparative religion and is active in inter-religious dialogues between Christians, Jews, Muslims and other religions in the US and across the world.
Truly inspirational and I know your spark will be ignited after listening - so thanks for tuning in! Let's all hit the road to spiritual freedom, the yellow brick road that is.
If you enjoy this, please rate, subscribe and share my podcast with all in order for us to spread light over the world.

The Science of Ayurveda is fascinating and my guest Cory Tixier shares the Reader's Digest Condensed version on this episode of Ignite Your Spark. I am always looking for new ways to help us heal our bodies and the practice of Ayurveda is a a powerful way to work with your own body's healing abilities. Cory tells us that Ayurveda is an intentional practice toward the goal of a long life. Who doesn't want that?
Cory found her way to Ayurveda or rather it found her as she was searching for how she was going to connect people to nature. Through Ayurveda and its practices, we learn that it is the science of self. The idea is to create balance in our lives, by balancing our doshas, and every single person is different, there is no cookie cutter approach.
By connecting with an Ayurvedic practitioner, you will help your body maintain homeostasis, it is a foundation on how to understand ourselves so we can make informed decisions regarding our health. AND, it all begins in the digestive system. Food as medicine is definitely at play in the living science of Ayurveda.
Let's all go out and heal our bodies!

Today's episode was inspired by my son, who gifted me with a beautiful hand thrown cup for my daily tea. I love it so much, found the artist, looked him up, reached out and voila, a podcast episode with my first creative from New Orleans.
Gerald Haessig was one of 8 kids growing up in the Midwest. He was not one of the kids who was always creating art, rather he took to the trombone and that path of music carried him through his youth and teenage years. Then in his later life. his wife gifted him with a glass blowing class and thus began his path to embracing his inner artist.
We do explore his first experience with the beauty of paintings when his family was able to check out reproductions of famous artwork from the library and how he loved his arts and crafts at summer camp and so much more.
Gerald's latest creations are a line of accessible cups and mugs for which he has received distinctions and accolades. Simply beautiful and each hand crafted item was made with love.
We are all creative and by exploring that side of us, we ignite our sparks to live a more joyful life and fulfilled life. Exploring creativity of any kind lights us up.
So SHINE YOUR LIGHT!
