John McMahon aka The Rev owns and operates Motov8 (motov8.com.au). Motov8 runs events and seminars for boys aged 11-17, inspiring, informing and instructing them to make smarter more informed decisions in life.

Rev has a past and is vulnerable and courageous in sharing his stories, from being in a gang, causing trouble, vandalising, violence, drugs, alcohol, to then thinking suicide was his only option.

Today he shares his story to inspire young people, to inform them that things can be so different if that is what they want.

Rev is passionate about helping young people to live their best life. Rev leaves a mark on peoples hearts and has influenced thousands of young people and their families across Australia and New Zealand, through his program Motov8.

Stacey is from a small town west of Invercargill in New Zealand. Growing up with great morals and values, as she describes, with the sweetest mum and a hard working, live off the land father. Stacey learnt survival skills, to be a hunter gatherer, and to be grounded.

Stacey loved her home life but struggled in school. She was treated poorly by teachers, had books ripped from her, told she was stupid and good for nothing, and she never did get her pen licence!!!! Stacey used her bubbly exterior to mask her inner pain and suffering and as a teenager, went off the rails - this was her coping mechanism.

It wasn't until adulthood that Stacey was informally diagnosed with Dyslexia - and what a relief it was. Finally it all fell into place and everything made sense.

Stacey talks openly about living with dyslexia. 

After 8 blissful, fun and supportive years of dating, Jess married her childhood sweetheart. Their wedding day was a dream. The  weather was perfect, the venue quant and cosy in the most stunning of settings and the happy couple looked magnificent. Surrounded by friends and family they celebrated their love and then enjoyed the most idyllic honeymoon.

Jess was happy and excited for their future - Jess did not expect to be separated within 3 months and divorced within 2 years, and she certainly never expected her husband, the man she thought she knew like no other, to be a cheater.

In 2011 aged just 21, Kelly Munford was driving on Auckland motorway when she fell asleep at the wheel of her car. Kelly suffered a traumatic brain injury and for the following three weeks was in a coma. After a year in a wheelchair Kelly had to relearn how to walk and talk - it was a long and painful journey to where she is today.

A positive mindset, a huge amount of determination, some rock solid support and a helping of unconditional love helped Kelly in her recovery.

Today you'll find Kelly up on stage educating teenagers with her story or maybe riding her bike on one of Aucklands many beautiful beaches (fyi - her neurologist advised her to ride her bike with trainer wheels - Kelly thought, erm NO!!!)

Kelly is an inspiration and lives her life full of gratitude.

In 1965, when Ken was just 12 years old he was sexually violated and raped by a male mentor, someone who he trusted. With his innocence in tatters he was then sexually assaulted by an older female. 

For the next 30 years Ken carried around rage, anger, hurt, guilt and shame. He had violent outbursts and nearly killed a police officer. Ken was void of emotion and empathy as he himself was stuck in Trauma.

In 1991 Ken took himself off in search of help - at this time there were little resources for male victims of sexual abuse. He was turned away by many places until one person showed him kindness and pointed him in the right direction.

For the last 20 years Ken has made it his mission to help as many men as possible, running male support groups, giving TedTalks and inspiring many.
