Merryl Ansah is currently playing Nala in the West End production of The Lion King at the Lyseum Theatre, a role she previously understudied in the show. 

Merryl originally did an Accounting and Management degree before completing an MA at the Royal Academy of Music. 

Some of her theatre credits include Beautiful: The Carole King Musical (UK & Ireland Tour), Crazy for You (Chichester Festival Theatre) and A Christmas Carol (Old Vic). Merryl understudied Heather Duke in the original West End cast of Heathers at the Theatre Royal Haymarket before taking over the role full-time for the show’s first ever UK & Ireland tour. 

In this episode, Merryl discusses all-things The Lion King, venturing into theatre after doing an Accounting and Management degree as well as highlights from the shows she has been a part of so far in her career.

Leandra Ellis-Gaston is starring as Anne Boleyn in Six on Broadway!

Leandra joined Six at the end of 2022 as part of the first full replacement company on Broadway. Having premiered in the UK in 2017, Six kicked off its first US tour in 2019 ahead of landing on Broadway in 2020. The show has been a huge hit in America, with two US tours currently running in addition to the Broadway production.

Just a few of Leandra’s theatre credits include the international tour Hair, the US tour of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical and her Broadway debut in Tina: The Tina Turner Musical.

Miracle Chance is currently playing Veronica in the London production of Heathers at The Other Palace.

Heathers received its UK premiere at The Other Palace in 2018 ahead of two West End runs. The show returned to The Other Palace in 2021 where it continues to run in addition to a UK & Ireland touring production.

Some of Miracle’s theatre credits include Loserville, Footloose, The Wedding Singer, The Christmasaurus Live, Priscilla Queen of the Desert and Unfortunate.

She played Columbia in The Rocky Horror Show and Christine in Be More Chill at The Other Palace and then in the West End at the Shaftesbury Theatre.

Courtney-Mae Briggs is currently playing Andrea in the London revival of Once on this Island at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre.

With music by  Stephen Flaherty and music & book by Lynn Ahrens, this revival is directed by Ola Ince.

Courtney originated the role of Jennifer Parker in Back To The Future (Manchester Opera House / Adelphi Theatre). She was also part  of the original West End cast of Hamilton and went on take over as Maria Reynolds and Peggy Schuyler. 

Courtney's stage credits also include: Strcitly Ballroom (West Yorkshire Playhouse / Toronto), Barnam (UK Tour) and Kiss Me Kate (Royal Albert Hall) as well as the UK premiere of In The Heights (Southwark Playhouse / King’s Cross Theatre).
