Graeme Stinson, a LHP in Tampa Bay Rays Organization and one of the Co founders at Stakstak comes on the episode to talk some shop.
We touch on the differences from college to pro and even going up in different levels of pro ball and their challenges.
Going even further, we talk about intentions and the mental side of the game that can change based on the environmental changes and other factors. We even go down his focus for the off season and the relationship with coaches and teammates and how those have been pivotal for his career thus far.
Lot of gold nuggets for those who are looking to take their game to the next level!

This episode, Dr. Paul Hughes from Hughes Orthopedics out in San Mateo, CA comes on to drop some knowledge bombs. We review over what STEM cells are, what a PRP injection is, cortisone shots and also return to throwing plans.
Towards the end, we even touch on growth plates in young athletes and how coaches should become more aware of when considering training/ practice.

On this episode, I go on a rant on why shutting down from throwing isn't always the answer. Zoom out and look at the bigger calendar view and make sure you don't have major spikes in workload.
Every guy is different, because there are different environmental factors to take into account for each guy. BUT don't just shut down for the sake of shutting down, because you're not going to get better at the skill if you stop doing the skill.

This episode was an absolute blast with Bill Miller, who has crafted his niche in the baseball world to be the go to guy for increasing training with explosiveness and measuring power outputs.
We also talked about how to attack guys who are slow "Gumby's" or Stiff movers have different approaches!
We even dive down into some concepts from his books SWING FAST and THROW FAST, and the implementation of when to do these in an off season.
Give it a listen, and share the value you got out of the podcast!

Ice or No Ice?
This rant, I talk about the difference between global ice and local icing and the mindset that needs to be discarded when in comes to icing injuries, or inflamed areas.

This episode, I go in and articulate some thoughts I've had with program design and why I don't like the "buckets" approach to creating programs. Having a true ecological approach, you need to take into account more than just what you see in the athlete's movement solutions.
