In July of 2020, the Washington Post published a report where more than a dozen women alleged sexual harassment and verbal abuse by former team employees at Redskins park. The newspaper followed it up the next month alleging team employees created sexually explicit videos created at the direction of senior vice president Larry Michael.
Interviews with more than 100 current and former employees and a review of internal company documents and other records show that, in his 21 years of ownership, Snyder has presided over an organization in which women say they have been marginalized, discriminated against and exploited. The employees also described an atmosphere in which bullying and demeaning behavior by management created a climate of fear that allowed abusive behavior to continue unchecked.
Ref The District interviewed 4 women who are on record with their allegations for their show After The Whistle. Emily Applegate, Ana Nunez, Rachel Engleson and Megan Imbert. In Episode 2 of this explosive 4 part series, the women detail what led to the investigation by Beth Wilkinson's law firm and how each of them look back upon their interviews. Ana also tells us her story of traveling to New York City with Melanie Coburn to deliver a letter to the NFL's Social Justice Committee requesting to release the report.
