In this episode of the Locked On Rays podcast, hosts Kevin Weiss and Ulises Sambrano continue their conversation with former big leaguer Cody Decker, who is known as the real-life Crash Davis and a very colorful and outspoken baseball personality.
In this final installment of the interview, Cody discusses playing time issues, smartest ballplayers he's encountered, past encounters with the Tampa Bay Rays front office, the deep challenge of pinch-hitting and being a designated hitter, differences between the minors and majors, and the great work he's doing with the El Paso Border Youth Athletic Association. (Note: This is Part 4 of a four-part interview.)
Decker made his MLB debut with the San Diego Padres, but spent the bulk of his career as a prolific minor leaguer, hitting 204 home runs over a decade-plus of play for multiple organizations.
