What a year it's been. In just 11 months, we have published 35 episodes, been listened to in over 23 different countries, and surpassed our target of 1000 plays in a single year. In this episode, we discuss our favourite episodes and some of the takings from each one with a little summary and share our thanks for supporting us to this point. Sportswashing is the practice of laundering one's reputation through sports; whether through team ownership, hosting a major tournament, or sponsorship. A country or politician gets involved hoping that some of the sport's popularity will improve its image. It's become a prolific topic of discussion in recent years, but it's trailed back all the way until 1936 during the Summer Olympics in Germany under the Nazi Regime.
