If it's not one thing it's another for the Arizona State University Sun Devils' sports programs. We know everything that has been going on with the Arizona State Sun Devils football program between the underachieving era that Herm Edwards has rushed in as well as the NCAA COVID-19 violations that led to the departure of coaches like Zak Hill and Antonio Pierce, as well as several key players such as Jayden Daniels, Jermayne Lole, Eric Gentry, Ricky Pearsall, and others. The basketball program has underachieved even by Arizona State Sun Devils basketball standards under Bobby Hurley. The Arizona State Sun Devils volleyball team has had just one winning season since Jason Watson departed for the University of Arkansas Razorbacks back in 2016. Arizona State Sun Devils baseball went through major growing pains in its first season under Willie Bloomquist after trying to bring ASU back to prominence in college baseball. And now Arizona State Sun Devils softball lost head coach Trisha Ford to the Texas A&M Aggies softball program following a widely successful six seasons with the Sun Devils and will likely take several key players from an Arizona State Sun Devils softball program that barely missed the college softball World Series tournament. All of this has happened under the watchful eye of Arizona State University Sun Devils' athletic director Ray Anderson. At what point do we begin to set his metaphorical seat on fire for the ridiculous underachievement that Arizona State Sun Devils sports have had in his tenure dating back to 2014? Host Richie Bradshaw has a heartfelt conversation about his thoughts on Arizona State Sun Devils softball's loss of Trisha Ford and how this is continuing to affect Ray Anderson's status with Arizona State University on this edition of the Locked On Sun Devils podcast.
