- Gangster Squad (2013) | Do Your Taxes, CriminalsIt’s time to grab your fedoras and Tommy guns, Baddies, we’re going after organized crime in 1950’s Los Angeles. We watched Gangster Squad, starring Ryan Gosling, Sean Penn, Josh Brolin, Anthony Mackie, Michael Peña, Nick Nolte, and of course, the impeccable Emma Stone. For a biopic, this movie has zero facts, and most of the characters that died are based on real people who did not die; the scriptwriters added characters to fill out the multicultural aspect of the Gangster Squad. Alejandro is let down by Sean Penn’s commitment. Christian thinks it’s spot on and that Sean Penn can do no wrong.
