This week we learned to defend ourselves in this perfectly unique film titled The Art of Self-Defense (2019), starring Jessie Eisenberg, Imogen Poots, and Alessandro Nivola. The movie takes on societal norms, toxic masculinity, revenge and quasi-homo erotica. The Boys take on Alejandro’s spelling, and his thought process that this is all an allegory to heaven or death. Christian learns how NOT to do a murder. The Boys also touch on what they would say if they committed murder. This is an interesting film that is worth watching so you all can be as confused as we are.

This week we watched the Netflix film Project Power (2020), starring Jamie Foxx, JGL, MgK, and Rodrigo Santoro. This film revolves around a can of soup and some pills that make you an animal(?) or gives you superpowers(?) we’re not too sure. But we did enjoy seeing an adult JGL. Alejandro ponders if he can put podcaster on his resume. A secret guest joins the Boys and it’s long time friend Juliet Perry. 365 DNI (Days) is a film brought to the boys as if it was a piece of art meant for the likes of Da Vinci. And he should be jealous, as if aggressive sexual tension wasn’t enough, they also add a healthy dose of creative camera work in this Netflix film. Starring Michele Morrone (that’s the guy who not only steals the show, but the soundtrack as well), Anna-Maria Sieklucka, Blanka Lipinska, and Magdalena Lamparska this Polish film exploded onto our screens, and whether it was Tik Tok videos, weirdly open minded friends, or just the insanely long time we all have been locked inside due to the pandemic, either way, it is worth a watch. Together the three attempt to understand how this film is NOT considered porn. Chris, Mellissa, and Pogi are all there too but say little to nothing as they are still in shock as to what we all just watched together.
