Today's episode features a conversation with Jamie, an Atlanta-based realtor who is in a same sex marriage with Kathy, who is 30 years her senior. Jamie explains to Ali how she and Kathy met and fell in love when Jamie was in her early 20s, what happened when they started to try to have children, and where they are now. Jamie's story includes her diagnosis of PCOS, 10 IUIs with 2 or 3 different sperm donors, pursuing fostering and adoption, an ectopic pregnancy, a miscarriage around 7 weeks, and finally, a healthy baby girl, born in December 2020.
