PIT PASS INDY– SEASON 2, EPISODE 39 – Jimmie Johnson will not race full-time in 2023; INDYCAR releases 2023 schedule

This special edition of Pit Pass Indy features big news on two fronts. The first is seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, an NTT IndyCar Series driver the past two seasons, Jimmie Johnson. He announced on Monday, September 26 that he will not compete full-time in any racing series in 2023. Instead, he will create a “Bucket List” schedule that could include several INDYCAR races along with a few NASCAR Cup Series events and famed sports car races the Rolex 24 at Daytona and the 24 Hours of LeMans. 

Pit Pass Indy Show Host Bruce Martin was one of a select group of journalist that spoke to Johnson via Zoom on Tuesday, September 27.

The other big news is the 2023 NTT INYCAR SERIES schedule was released by INDYCAR at 12 noon Eastern Time on Tuesday. Pit Pass Indy has all the details.
