John England from Ag Innovate joins Frenchy on Rural Focus to explain the Merino central test sire evaluation which is a national initiative of the Australian Merino Sire Evaluation Association which compares the progeny of individual rams at a number of sites across Australia.
There are a number of things, traits, that are being measured for comparison between sire groups including fleece weight and fibre diameter, carcase traits like muscle and fat depths and body weights.
