Jokers Are Wild

The boys are now affiliated with the Ace Podcast Network (https://acepodcasts.com). Be sure to check out the site and show support!

In light of the big news, Jack and Ryan actually prepared for the show today and tackle a shit ton of topics ranging from Lord Buckethead to the untimely demise of a French Instagram model. Jack is perturbed by the NHL's inability to do much anything right while Ryan riffs on his adventures at a resort in...Maryland?

A bonus episode of Jack and Ryan's time together in Virginia. They are joined by friend and movie critic Kevin Cleary to speak of Ryan's undying love for Gal Gadot and to review the horrific bombs that have been summer movies thus far. Is there any hope for the remainder of the year?

Also Ryan's childhood experience with Caddyshack, the boys' history of seeing terrible movies together, and Jack's boycott of all things superhero.

Jack and Ryan begin the show with more on the summer of nonsense. Jack might be getting roped into the shenanigans thanks to his aunt. Meanwhile Ryan is running into something crippling his life and eating away at his inner self.

In news and entertainment, Kathy Griffin is sad because no one found her Trump joke funny. Jim Carrey is struggling at life. So is Tiger Woods. Ryan falls for Justin Timberlake fake news.

Jack is obsessed with College Softball and goes to great lengths to describe why it's better than baseball. However, Bryce Harper got into a sweet brawl the other day. To wrap the show, Ryan reveals he has the worst vocabulary on the planet and Jack works on his spelling so he can compete in next year's spelling bee.

Jack is disgusted with all the "free" things that require a credit card. The boys also discuss whether texting is proper etiquette while watching movies. A Yale dean is put on leave for saying things that really don't seem all that bad. We do our first read (thanks Lightning Fitness!) and riff on the latest development in Ryan's summer of nonsense. Jack's friend had such a bad fart it caused a nose bleed and finally Ryan gives us his take on Guardians 2.

Ryan's old and dear friend, Justin Waltz joins the show for the boys' 20th episode. All three share their experiences teaching and hilarity ensues. Ryan takes over the Jack Attack segment with a rant on romphims, Jack breaks down a date that ended in a lawsuit (and it doesn't involve Ryan), and Ryan declares this will be the summer of nonsense in regard to his romantic dealings. Jack and Justin try to talk him off a ledge, but this declaration may require more discussion in future episodes.

The boys are joined by the incomparable Meghan Cuda who has somehow fallen in love with Baltimore. She updates us on her life and the boys go off on a tangent regarding dogs and putting them down. Then Ryan breaks down his venture from tinder to OK Cupid.

On the other side, Ryan made a risky move on Amazon, the Adelphi mens lax squad comes out to a Donald Trump speech and Meghan thought La La Land took place in the 50's despite there being a fucking Prius in the movie. And finally, Ryan breaks down his exploits on a recent camping trip.

Jack picks up the pieces from another devastating Capitals series loss. He and Ryan calculate the amount of time and money he's invested in the Cpas the past ten years and decide it's time to back off a bit. This leads to a discussion about fanhood and the different levels of being a sports fan.

Jack and Ryan recall happier times as kids playing middle school basketball and Jack tells a few college stories about how his roommate would destroy playstation controllers and of course Ryan tells a story of his dad making fun of him for not being able to hit free throws.

The boys talk about love and Ryan tries to find it on Tinder. Jack joins in so the boys match each other up with the perfect tinder dates. Also what are the airlines doing to their customers these days?

Jack wants to get every backup NFL QB on the show because let's face it they have the best gigs in the world. Meanwhile Kim Jong Un is the new face of fear. What will happen in North Korea?

The boys play their first ever on air game asking each other Mexican trivia. Loser chugs a beer (and there were many consumed). Meanwhile Jack can't believe the debacle that was the Fyre Fest and Ryan expounds upon the Sunny Co Clothing catastrophe. In the sports page, Lavar Ball releases his own shoe and it's expensive. The Red Sox and Orioles hate each other, racist fans and Kelly Oubre Jr. takes out a Celtic in Game 3 of the Wizards-Celtics Series. Also, the boys share their thoughts on their middle school basketball team, ball pits and the ongoing saga that is Ryan's love life.

In a sports-heavy episode, the Capitals are on the ropes and Jack is really unhappy with the sadness that is DC sports. Ryan met a girl while watching the play-offs and the boys break down the NFL draft. Ryan also bemoans that he can't drink like he used to.

Finally, ESPN made some huge moves in firing a bunch of on-air talent. Jack voices his thoughts on the matter and the overall state of sports media, which is not good.
