Amy’s life seemed perfect, growing up, she was all about sports and fitness. In college, she played soccer, ran track and cross country, and still managed to be an excellent student. After being injured, Amy was determined to finish out her senior year running, and she was given medication to help ease the pain. The addict was awoken inside of her and she began to pop pain killers like candy. On the outside, she was a successful personal fitness trainer, Nike and Adidas fitness model and looked healthy and happy but behind closed doors, she was struggling with a dark secret.

After five kids, Paola’s mother was basically done with motherhood and was ready to have a life of her own. However, ten years later, she found herself accidentally pregnant again. Her older kids, who were a whole generation older than their baby sister, begged their mother to get pregnant one more time so that their sister could have a friend growing up. She relented and gave birth to her last child – Paola. Growing up, Paola would always be reminded by her mother about the circumstances of her birth and the feeling of being unwanted would put her on a path to try and rise above it and find her inner voice.

Daniela had low self-esteem when she met her husband. She was so desperate to start a family – especially after her difficult upbringing – that she rushed into the relationship and got married as soon as she realized that she was pregnant. She wanted her ‘happily ever after’ and be a stay-at-home mom, but her husband at times would be unemployed, as he floated around job to job. This tension came to a head when their second child was born with kidney problems. After much heartbreak, she and her husband decided to start anew, with a relationship that was centered around forgiveness and healing.

Janelle wanted to get pregnant and have a family of her own. However, she struggled conceiving naturally and sought help from fertility treatments. In that time, she had friends and relatives who were getting pregnant and having babies left and right. It seemed like everyone she knew was starting their own family. She was so distraught; she couldn’t go to baby showers anymore or be around pregnant people in general. She and her husband had to come to a decision, either keep trying with an expensive and an emotionally draining procedure on her body, or go through the adoption route, where she was guaranteed to be a mom.

Allison was yearning to go on an adventure and sent out an email asking her friends if they were interested in climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro. She teamed up with a mutual friend Danielle and they began training for an adventure of a lifetime. After climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, they felt it was such a transformative experience that they couldn’t just go back to their regular lives again. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, this is Vicki Bush’s story. Vicki knew that she had to get her sizable lump on her breast checked out, but postponing the inevitable results and having no insurance, it took her a few months before she told her daughter about her lump. The next day, she had an appointment at a free clinic. She kept a journal of her process through the different treatments she went through to get rid of the cancer. Through it all, she has kept a positive - and at times humorous - attitude, even when certain procedures were painful and difficult to handle. She is now cancer free and lives a much healthier lifestyle than the one she had before cancer.

Michelle dreamed of being in the spot light but her fears and feelings of unworthiness kept her from stepping into her gift. As an introvert, she was shy and self-conscious about herself. Until one day, she realized she could sing. Although she tried to sing, many told her she couldn’t including herself. She became a filmmaker instead and stayed behind the camera for years. It all changed when she gained the confidence to step into the spot light. With apps like YouTube and LiveMe, Michelle has been able to share her gift of creating and has amassed an incredible audience of millions. Now she teaches others to dare to dream and step into the spotlight.

At the age of two, Jenny’s mother noticed that Jenny went from crawling to walking to crawling again. Her ankle was swollen and hot to the touch. Jenny was then diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (JRA), a condition which causes inflammation in the joints and it eventually caused her vision impairment. Growing up, Jenny was not treated differently by her mother or siblings. She was encouraged to reach for her dreams which led her to become the first person in her family to graduate from college. Despite her diagnosis and her declining vision, Jenny has continued to be positive and tries everyday to live her life to the fullest.
