Dr. Shelly Gruenig lost her child in 1998. Shelly coped with her grief using food to fill the empty void and ended up tipping the scale at 300 hundred plus pounds. Although, she struggled with her weight for many years, she continued to help others as a Life and Career coach. Then one day she took a friend to the doctor and noticed a flyer for gastric bypass surgery. After meeting an amazing gastric bypass surgeon, she was on a mission to not only lose the weight, but change her whole attitude on life. She decided to stop sedating herself with food and stop being afraid of being more. Through hard work, changes in her diet, and a focus on her goals, she was able to not only lose the weight but make a radical transformation in her life.
