Lesson 73:Joe's Restaurant

Joe is learning how to cook. He has to learn because he wants to start a small
restaurant. His mother is teaching him. She used to be a chef at a big restaurant, With her help, he ought to have no problem. I'm sure Joe's restaurant is going to be the best restaurant in town.

乔正在学习如何烹饪。他必须要学，因为他想要开一家小餐
厅。他母亲正在教他。她曾在一家大餐厅当过厨师。有了她的帮
助，他应当不会有什么问题。我确信乔的餐厅将成为镇上最好的
舞厅。

90. Greeting From Space 来自太空的问候

Wilson had always wanted to be an astronaut. His kindergarten teacher had told him that was impossible. "That's nice," she said. "But you'll probably never make it." Wilson thought she was very mean. Still, he never gave up his dream.

威尔森一直都想当宇航员，他的幼儿园老师告诉他那是不可能的。“想法是挺好，”她说，“但你可能永远都不会做到。”威尔森觉得她非常刻薄。然而他从未放弃自己的梦想。

Twenty years later, Wilson proved her wrong. He was on space mission to the moon. While looking down on Earth, Wilson thought of his old teacher. He wished she could see him now. He grabbed his camera and took a picture of himself in his spacesuit. A million stars were in the background. As soon as he landed back on Earth he ran to the post office. He mailed the picture to the mean teacher.

二十年之后，威尔森证明了她是错的。威尔森正在去月球的太空任务中，当他看向地球时，他想起了他那个老师。他希望她现在能看见他的样子。他拿起他的相机，拍了一张他穿宇航服的照片，背景里有上百万的星星。他一着陆到地球，就跑到了邮局，把这张照片寄给了那个刻薄的老师。

Lesson 72:Remember to Wash

Mother: Don't forget to brush your teeth before you go to bed!
Micky : Yes, Mom.
Mother: And remember to wash your hands before meals.
Micky : Yes, Mom. Anything else?
Mother: Yes, remind me to tell your sister the same thing.
别忘了漱洗
母亲：睡觉前别忘了要刷牙!
米其：是的，母亲。
母亲：而且吃饭前要记得洗手。
米其：是的，母亲。还有其他的事吗?
母亲：有的，要提醒我告诉你妹妹同样的事。

89. Getting Braces 戴牙套

Martin had very crooked teeth. His dentist wanted to fix them. "You have to get braces," he told Martin. "Your smile will be perfect!" Martin did not like this idea. He was scared of getting braces. He had heard they hurt a lot. They were also very expensive.

马丁的牙齿非常歪，他的牙医想想修复这些牙齿。“你得戴牙套”他告诉马丁。“你的笑容将会是完美的！”马丁不喜欢这个主意，他害怕带牙套。他听说会很疼，而且还很贵。

He went to his dad to get some advice. His dad told Martin to get them. He even paid for them himself. When Martin looked at his braces in the mirror, he was unhappy. "I look ugly now!" he remarked. "Stop being ridiculous," said his dad. "You already looked that way before they put the braces on!"

他找他爸爸寻求建议，他爸爸叫去他安上牙套，他爸爸甚至自己为他出钱。当马丁对着镜子看着自己的牙套时，他很不高兴。“我现在看起来太丑了！”他评论到。“别傻了，”他爸爸说，“带牙套之前你就已经够丑了”。

33.They Deliver

A: The price of stamps goes up and up.

B: I think stamps used to cost a penny.

A: That was a long time ago.

B: It was before I was born.

A: Now a stamp is 42 cents.

B: But in May it will be 44 cents.

A: Have you ever lost a letter in the mail?

B: No, I haven't.

A: Neither have I.

B: So, they do a good job for the money.

A: Yes, they do.

B: Maybe we shouldn't complain.

33.他们运送邮件

邮票的价格越来越高了。

过去邮票只要花一分钱。

那是很久以前了。

那是在我出生之前。

现在一张邮票要42分钱。

但是到了五月就会是44分了。

你的信在邮局丢过吗？

没有过。

我也没。

所以，他们收了钱，活还是干得不错。

是的。

或许我们不该抱怨。
