67. The Runaway Groom 逃跑新郎

It was Scott's wedding day. He was very nervous. "I don't think I'm ready for this!" he thought. His forehead and palms were sweaty. His heart was racing. He was having a panic attack. Scott saw the front door of the church was open. Nobody was looking at him. He decided to run away.

这天是斯科特的婚礼，他非常紧张。“我觉得我还没准备好！”他想。他的额头和掌心冒汗，他的心砰砰跳，他心里慌了。斯科特看见教堂的前门是开的，没有人在看他，他决定逃跑。

As he stepped out of the church, he thought he was free. When he looked back, he noticed someone running after him. It was his bride's father. The old man was very fast. "Come back here," the father yelled. "I already paid for everything!"

当他踏出教堂的时候，他觉得自己自由了。当他回头看的时候，他注意到后面有人在追他，那是他新娘的父亲，老人跑得很快。“你给我回来，”新娘父亲喊道“所有的费用我都付过啦！”

A: Excuse me, Ma'am. What time is it, please?
甲：小姐，打扰一下。请问现在几点了？
B: It's two thirty.
乙：现在是两点半。
A: Thanks. What time is the next train?
甲：谢谢。请问下一班火车是几点开？
B: Two forty-five.
乙：两点四十五分。
A: I see. Is it on time?
甲：我明白了。它准时吗？
B: Yes, it is.
乙：是的，它很准时。

甲：小姐，打扰一下。请问现在几点了？
B: It's two thirty.
乙：现在是两点半。
A: Thanks. What time is the next train?
甲：谢谢。请问下一班火车是几点开？
B: Two forty-five.
乙：两点四十五分。
A: I see. Is it on time?
甲：我明白了。它准时吗？
B: Yes, it is.
乙：是的，它很准时。

Lesson 11 My Foreign Classmates

There are several foreign students in my class. John is American. He's from the United States, Laura is Spanish, She's from Spain.
Chen and Huang are Chinese, but they are not from China. They're from Malaysia.They're overseas Chinese.
We're from different countries, but we all get along well.

我的外籍同学
我班上有几名外籍学生。约翰是美国人，他来自美国。劳拉是西班牙人。她来自西班牙。
小陈和小黄是中国人，但他们却非来自中国。他们来自马来西亚。他们是华侨。
我们来自不同的国家，不过我们都相处得很好。

Lesson 11 My Foreign Classmates

There are several foreign students in my class. John is American. He's from the United States, Laura is Spanish, She's from Spain.
