Yad Vashem, the World Holocaust Remembrance Center on Monday  opened the new Shaoh Legacy campus with The David and Fela Shapell Family Collections Center serving as a home for the world’s largest collections of Holocaust artifacts, documents, artwork, and photographs. 

The inauguration ceremony was attended by  President  Isaac Herzog, Holocaust survivor Rabbi Israel Meir Lau, Chair of the Yad Vashem Council and Yad Vashem Chair Dani Dayan. 

The opening of the collections center  marks a significant milestone in the preservation and commemoration of Holocaust history.

The two semi finals of the Euros sees Spain face France on Tuesday night and , England v the Netherlands the following night, Wednesday. Both games kick off at 10 pm Israel time.

In France, a left-wing alliance has won the most seats in the French parliament after tactical voting in Sunday’s second round election thwarted Marine Le Pen’s far-right party. Le Pen's National Rally finished in third place after President Emmanuel Macron's centrist list. The outcome leaves France in political limbo after no party came close to winning an absolute majority in parliament. Dr. Miriam Rosman, a historian and expert on Israel-France relations, spoke to KAN's Naomi Segal about the vote.

US President Joe Biden worked to calm senior Democrats and staff on his campaign on Wednesday, as reports suggested he was weighing his future after his disastrous debate with Donald Trump last week.

Biden held a closed-door lunch with Vice-President Kamala Harris at the White House as speculation mounted over whether she would replace him as the party’s candidate in November’s election.

Questions have been swirling around whether the 81-year-old will continue with his campaign following the debate with Trump, which was marked by verbal blanks, a weak voice and some answers which were difficult to follow. It sparked concern in Democratic circles around his fitness for office and his ability to win the election.
