Thanks to Arts NSW, Brand X is excited to announce the 2015 Residency Program that provides Sydney-based artists with opportunities for free space to develop their creative practise, prepare for a production, form new creative relationships or retail directly to the public.

In 2015 we are offering the following art form based residencies:

Performing Arts: creative development and production (8 residencies available)

Visual Arts: studio with gallery space (12 residencies available)

Creative Retail: pop-up shop tenancy (3 residencies available)

Music: Singer/Songwriter/Producer group residency (5 residencies available)

The aim of the residency program is to support artistic development and career sustainability. The residencies are open to professional independent artists and groups (emerging or established) with an emphasis on projects that address professional development, the creation of new work and the investigation of innovative practise.

All artists must come from NSW with priority given to local Sydney artists. Brand X has a broad definition of art form practise and acknowledges the hybrid nature of a vibrant contemporary arts sector. Therefore, artists are encourage to apply for the residency that best reflects their project and/or practise.

All residency applications will be peer assessed by a panel of industry professionals. For more information on how to apply, along with proposal guidelines click on the links below.
