Keith and The Girl

Marc Maron started his podcast WTF in September 2009 and in June 2025 announced its upcoming end. In honor of his run and the big news, we relisten to KATG’s appearance back in 2012. All old episodes of WTF can be found accessing WTF+ at WTFpod.com. WTF’s episode description: “Keith Malley and Chemda Khalili are two of the earliest pioneers of podcasting. Their hit show Keith and the Girl paved the way for WTF. Marc welcomes them to the garage to talk about religion, sexuality and relationships.”

From the archives of KATG.com/VIP, this show features the collection of That’s the Show with Danny clips that ex-intern Danny Hatch personally put together himself 10 years ago! Whether you’re relistening or new to the character that is The Hatch, you’ll love his hilariously neurotic jokes and delivery with Keith, Chemda, his own mom and girlfriend, and some of your favorite KATG guests engaging in a way that can only be described as … well … I don’t think it can be described. Enjoy. OH! DANNY’S OLD PSYCHIATRIST HAD A SCARFACE POSTER IN HIS OFFICE!!!

The move is complete! Keith’s girlfriend and fellow Charlottean ListenerLiz joins the show to help Keith discuss leaving The Big Apple for literally greener pastures. The duo talks about the dichotomy between the two cities, dealing with landlords and movers, and strangers finding KATG through Keith’s trail of breadcrumbs. The lovebirds also address serious hot topics such as Pride Month vs. Veterans Month, the literal whitewashing of civil rights campaigners, and the Pittsburgh Steelers’ new quarterback.

Superstar and The Dad Emails book contributor Calvin Cato returns to help Keith discuss party etiquette (Keith’s perfect), dumb politics (Keith isn’t pleased), and the Diddy trial (APPLESAUCE ON A CHEESEBURGER?!). They also pay homage to the great George Wendt and are nervous for the family that is now burdened with his bar tab.

Comedian Greg Warren isn’t here to offend or be controversial. Keith is. Together they lick the platter clean! Greg joins Keith to discuss his new special The Champ, reluctantly discuss the state of the world, and give his two cents on Keith’s going away party.

Mic Wright returns to KATG for the first time since his 2008 Live in London appearance! Jolly pip pip! Keith and Mic discuss American Mother’s Day, over-politeness, and Keith nerve-wracklingly hiring movers. The duo isn’t afraid to get into the deep topics including 72-year-old Bill Belichick’s 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson’s attitude during Bill’s interviews and Jordon again losing the Miss Maine beauty contest. Suzanne Somers’ husband has an AI robot of his dead wife, Tiger King’s Joe Exotic got married again while in prison, and Donald Trump obviously recently watched Clint Eastwood’s Escape from Alcatraz. We learn from Mic about England’s attitude on the U.S., Russell Brand, the Pope, and America’s Second Amendment. Then the two get into Mic’s new book Breaking: How the Media Works, When it Doesn’t, and Why it Matters.

With the help of the great Myka Fox, Keith discusses the stressful planning of his move to Charlotte, her Cracked stand-up special, the first American Pope, and the Supreme Court ruling for President Trump to be able to ban transgender troops. Also, Keith critiques the Met Gala 2025 female outfits.

Creator of the hilarious and deep special Highly Intelligent, Shanna Christmas gets real about her personal life including working in a nursing home, human rights, and describing her sexual assault and the heartbreaking responses from friends. Funny, soul-searching, and quite frankly brave new KATG guest Shanna Christmas will win you over in heartbeat.

The hilarious Chris Lamberth is new to KATG, and immediately Keith (current poker champion) found a new best friend. Comedy, movies, TV, movies, relationships, movies, family, movies, upbringings, movies—it’s all here!

Keith is back from his last plane ride in a while from Charlotte, North Carolina, America … because he’s gonna move there! Keith is joined by greats and fellow Charlotteans Rod and Karen Morrow to help discuss his potential living situation, his feelings (!!!) on the big change, and everything swirling in his head. The trio also discusses KATG’s Spring 2025 Poker Championship, the origins of Minimum Rage, and Keith’s dad making his children suck on his thumb.
