This episode with Erin Stoll @stylethieffashion was so incredible and chock full of gems I made it into a two parter!! Today is part one- today we discuss the intersection of home and clothing, honoring who we really are and keeping only what truly works for us in this season and empowering tools to feel good in the body we are in NOW.
I could not love her more! And she has not only been instrumental in helping me with my clothing and decluttering journey, but she's become a dear and empowering friend along the way. She is a true coach, cheerleader and style therapist through and through.

Joining me today is the wonderful and warm Shannon Leyko of The Paring Down Podcast and @paringdownpodcast on Instagram!
We cover a lot of ground- from clutter, clothing and identity to one of the best doing laundry with kids tips I've ever heard!
We discussed our experiences with decluttering and the positive impact it has had on our lives. The struggles with letting go of clothes that no longer fit current lifestyles or body size, and the emotional attachment to clothes from different seasons of life. Shannon also shared her personal experiences with depression, and how decluttering helped her cope during a very difficult season. We also chatted about the importance of maintaining a simplified and organized home environment as a form of self-care, and the potential fun and enjoyment that can come from decluttering and organizing.
Such a great conversation with so many good takeaways!
These are 2 of my favorite decluttering questions to help clarify what you truly love and truly don't- what to keep and what to let go of.
We'll start with a:
(1) Mock moving decluttering mindset and then a
(2) Clarifying closet question
Can't wait to hear your thoughts!

You guys...this episode is just a goldmine of goodness. Stephanie Dulgarian's background as a teacher has clearly informed her parenting in some of the greatest ways and today she is sharing allll the tips.
Here's a synopsis:
Engaging Chores for Kids Elena and Stephanie discussed the concept of making chores more engaging and fun for children. Stephanie, a mother of five, shared her approach to assigning roles to her kids that incorporate fun tasks and responsibilities. They also talked about the importance of starting early to instill good habits in children and the benefits of using a daily checklist to help children take responsibility for routine tasks around the house. Stephanie emphasized that the key to success is to find a system that works for each family and to stick with it, even if it means adapting it over time to suit the needs and interests of each kid. I definitely want to ackowledge that cleaning and tidying is a lot of work- there is no pressure in this episode to be grateful for that all the time- I GET how challenging it is.
But my hope is this will give you another tool for your home keeping toolkit that will make your days a little easier. :)
