This is session 3 of a study that Rob is leading on understanding the Kingdom of God, the mission of God's people, and Justice. What is God's mission? In order for the people of God to be faithful, we must understand what God's mission is. Then we must ask: What is Justice? And what is the relationship between Justice and the Kingdom of God? And what does it mean for you and me? 

Here is the outline that Rob was teaching from 

Immanuel principle: God’s presence among us (Lev 26:11-13; Gen 17:7-8; Exod 29:45; Jer 24:7; 31:1, 33; 32:8; Ezek 11:20; 14:11; 34:24; 37:23, 27-28; Zech 8:8; 2 Cor 6:16; Heb 8:10; Rev 21:7)

1. The purpose of redemption was so that God would __________________ (Exod 29:44-46)

God’s presence requires ethical holiness

1. Lev 19:2: ‘Be holy’

For Israel, everything was divided into two categories: holy and common/profane

1. God and anything associated with God was holy

The common/profane was also divided into two categories

1. _____________________ the normal state of people and things

1. _____________________ : because of pollution

Only that which was ___________________ could come into the presence of God

1. Sin and pollution renders

1. Sacrificial blood would provide cleansing

Since Holiness and cleanness were required to enter the presence of God, and since God’s presence among Israel was a distinctive element of them as a people, and since their distinctiveness was to be their mission to the world, then even their sacrificial system was missional 

1. Because the sacrificial system was fulfilled on the cross; the laws of clean and unclean food symbolized Israel’s distinctiveness from the nations, were also fulfilled
