A group calling itself "One Reno" wants to buy Mt Rose ski resort which is for sale right now, and hope they can get the Truckee Meadows community to pitch in.

There is a fire burning around 200 acres about 7 miles west of Susanville as of 11:30 am. Mandatory evacuations are in progress along the Susan River. No structures are damaged as the fire in the Willard Creek area is burning in forested, undeveloped land. Seven airtankers are currently making drops on the fire and three more are ordered.The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

The cost of brothel licensing could increase in one Nevada county. Possible changes to the Nye County legalized prostitution ordinance would be the first updates in more than two decades. Quarterly brothel licensing fees could increase depending on the number of workers while the annual background check fee rises from $5,000 to $7,500.
