Production, Pattern & Foundry in Mound House, the company accused by two employees of forcing them to illegally dump toxic waste, have issued a statement saying they believe the video was produced by the men involved, to falsely accuse the company, and to further their own agendas.One of the men shown was no longer employed by PPF on the date the video was posted. The statement says "We want to be clear: PPF does not direct – or sanction – employees to illegally or irresponsibly dispose of wastes or materials that are involved in our manufacturing process."

There's still no future trial date set for the motorcycle gang member who had his conviction overturned in the killing of a rival gang member. Washoe District Court judge Connie Steinheimer ordered defense lawyer David Houston to file a document with the court that shows Ernesto Gonzalez, 57, has paid Houston $45,000 to hire him as his defense lawyer. Last December, the Nevada Supreme Court unanimously sent the case back for retrial, ruling Gonzalez did not get a fair trial the first time.

Placer County is ending the search to recover the body of a University of Nevada, Reno football player who is presumed drowned in Lake Tahoe. 20-year-old Marc Ma, had been on a paddle board trip with several other players June 10th, when strong winds kicked upoff Lake Tahoe's west shore. Ma's board was found adrift.

Although the search has ended, the case remains an open investigation. Ma was a sophomore from Honolulu.
