You’re in for a wild ride this week as we discuss our favourite book ‘Everything I know about love’ by Dolly Alderton, a book that essentially takes you through the woes of your teens and early twenties, as told by Dolly. This week, we thought we’d do the same and we share some of our own personal, crazy stories, with a few lessons from the book thrown in the mix. We’ve essentially left our dignity at the door and lay our souls to bare with all the mortifying and embarrassing escapades of our late teens and early twenties. This is a no judgment zone and we’re here to provide you with some light humour and and entertainment during lockdown. We also have Ella’s 20 year old sister, Grace joining us for moral support and to give her some advice as she embarks on the roller coaster ride that is your twenties.
Recommendations for the week:

This week on the poddy we’re talking all things business, taking a trip down memory lane all the way back to when we first started our digital agency, The Ardent Collective, 4 years ago. We’ve narrowed down our top 7 lessons - from the power of saying yes, learning to pivot, managing finances, tools to make your work flow easier (although there might be a catch 22) and of course, building your team, working with clients and setting those boundaries.
As always, it’s a very light hearted chat about how The Ardent Collective came to be and the funny moments that happened to us along the way.
Recommendations for the week:
⁃ Netflix Doco - Turning Point - 9/11 and the War on Terror
⁃ Darling Shine Podcast - available wherever you get your podcasts
⁃ Aimn Active Wear

Slight change of pace this week as we talk about the month when everything in our personal and work lives fell to absolute shit.
This ep. does come with a disclaimer that we deal with issues pertaining to mental health, terminal illness and cancer. If you do need support, you can always contact Life Line on 13 11 14.
Mercury was in retrograde that fateful June 2021, so we decided it was only fair to blame the universe. In the space of a week, we had to shoot the biggest e-commerce campaign we’d ever done (and experienced the busiest few months of work post-Covid), Steph nearly lost her Dad to a bad fall, after he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and then dementia 12 years ago, AND to top it all off, Ella then received the news that her Dad has cancer.
So, how do you navigate running your own business when it feels as though your world is quite literally falling apart? Well, we survived to tell the tale and we have a few silver linings for you, and of course, some humour and goss thrown in the mix because if you don’t laugh, you’ll cry.
Plus, we have some great recommendations this week which align with our advice on how to deal with the stress of being human (no matter how great or small).

This week we’re talking all things business. How we met, how we started @kolideinsta and @theardentco and some very strange stories and confessions along the way. We jump all over the place (promise we’re going to get better at this) but here’s a quick breakdown of the episode.
⁃ How Kolide originally started as IKolide
⁃ How that turned to sh*t with some juicy goss
⁃ How we met each other
⁃ How we relaunched Ikolide
⁃ How we nearly became part of a reality tv show called Made in Double Bay (LOL)
⁃ How we started the Ardent
⁃ Our shared office space experience
⁃ A wild Palm Beach story
