Since retiring from his legendary 64-year career as the Los Angeles Dodgers' Spanish voice, Jaime Jarrín has poured his heart into the Jaime and Blanca Jarrín Foundation (JBJF), which he co-founded with his late wife, Blanca, and Los Defensores, JBJF's corporate fiscal partner, which provided the seed money to start the foundation.
JBJF uplifts underserved LATINO students in California by awarding scholarships to those pursuing careers in law and journalism, fields that reflect Mr. Jarrín’s belief in justice, truth, and storytelling.
Believing in Youth, Investing in the Future — The Jaime & Blanca Jarrín Foundation and Los Defensores launched Scholarships to Empower Future Leaders in Law and Journalism With close to $200,000 awarded since 2019, the foundation continues its mission to uplift underserved college students in Southern California
