Very interesting premise. Would be very interested in hearing it fleshed out a little more. Man and dinosaur living together and enjoying competition would be great. Would recommend for a very quick

A Story of Maturity, Grace & Honor with Dinosaurs

A young Tyrannosaur rider surpasses her rival in a "running with bulls" event featuring T-Rex instead bovines. Great voice narration by Amy McFadden reflects the excitement and sadness of the piece. Great story and writing from Stant Litore! Highly Recommend!

Enormous dissapointment

What disappointed you about The Lazarus War: Legion?

I really enjoyed the first book so was really looking forward to the second book in this trilogy.

Unfortunately it seemed like 50% of this second book was about him as a child with his sister and father. I have no objection to back stories but to make almost half the book about his back story (which I didn't feel was that important to the story) felt to me like the author was "padding" the book out to make a trilogy. If he didn't have enough ideas it would have been better to cut out the back story and have a duology instead of a trilogy.

In addition I didn't even like the main character in the third book. His lack of caring for his own squad members didn't ring true to me after the first book.

I am glad some people enjoyed the book, this is only my personal opinion. However, there is certainly no way that I will be buying the last book in this trilogy.

Surprised that I loved it so much!

First, let me note that I received this audiobook for free through AudibookBoom, in exchange for an honest review. So I really wasn't expecting much. So many authors are jumping on the zombie band wagon, turning out pretty poor imitations of the greats. But I was bored, nothing to listen to, and there was this book that I could listen to for free. So why not?

Zombie children?.....yah, I wasn't expecting much. But I absolutely LOVED it! I turned it on and didn't stop until the 6 hour, 11 minute mark! (I fell asleep at 2 a.m.) Got up the following day and finished the remaining hour. I couldn't put it down. If book 2 was out, I would have immediately paid a full $15 audible credit for it!

I won't go into details about the story line. I'll just keep it short with: All of the children that got their vaccinations, turned into zombies. Boom, the zombie apocalypse.

There were just a few, tiny little details that needed editing. I'm only mentioning them, so that if the author reads this, he can make sure to maybe have someone else proofread the next book. A female character was listening to her mom's voice mail, that she's listened to a hundred times because her mom died a month after leaving it. A short while later in the book, this character is talking about her parents currently being in a retirement home/community and hope they'll be ok during the zombie outbreak. Mom died a little while back, so she can't be in the retirement home now.

nightmare of a world thrown into chaos

After taking their standard vaccines, millions of children are transformed into zombies. They are fast and deadly and those they bite also turn into zombies. The story follows several characters as they face the nightmare of a world thrown into chaos: A single mother of two and her aging father, a childrens clothing store owner, a 12-year-old girl orphaned by the zombies, a homeless shell-shocked veteran, a love-sick pediatrician and an Argentinian martial arts expert. Their paths cross as they try to escape the ravages of their hungry attackers.

It is a unique approach to how zombies are created, but other than that, there isnt too much that is new.

Great Listen

Another great book in Brian Lumley's Dreamlands series. Ideally these books should be listened to before the culmination of the main Titus Crow finale Elysia. Lots of daring-do and a few laughs along the way, all within the weirdness of Lovecraft's Dreamlands.

9 books in, and this series is still at top form!

When a series gets 8 or 9 deep, you kind of expect some coasting or drop off in story. Not with Tim Marquitz! This series keeps taking new twists and turns with each new book, and it just makes you keep wanting more. After Collateral Damage, where Franks life of domestic bliss with Karra and Abigail comes off the rails in a morning of blood and death, and some epic payback, Frank has left Abi in the care of his cousin, the warrior angel Scarlet and her vampire love Katon, and has crawled into the bottle in some fleaspeck town in Louisiana. Unfortunately, that fleaspeck gets nuked as collateral damage to a group of supernatural baddies using a nuke to crack open a Secret government prison designed to hold big time supernatural bad guys. Well, of course Frank ends up in the middle of the mess. He ends up working with Briana Shaw and her Government team to try and stop the rest of the prisons getting cracked open and releasing some epic level baddies. After a lot of fighting, deception and general mayhem, you find out what the plot is about, who the villains are (Some of whom return from previous books) and we get some closure on some storylines. Some people even get whats coming to them. With a fast paced plot and action scenes that put Michael Bay to shame, this is a must have for any fans of urban fantasy. The author is really doing a great job of expanding the characters, really rounding them out, and showing more about some of the smaller characters like Father Lance. All in all, and excellent bit of writing, with the always excellent Noah Michael Levine doing his usual spectacular job of narrating, really breathing life into the characters.

Boring in spots

Seems like some things were just dragged out, actually had to fast forward....And why do they switch narrators from book to book, it sucks when they do that

narrator like Forrest Gump on caffeine

The story was as good as the first book, the narrator on the other hand was not. halfway through the book he got better. I do hope the third book will be released on audible soon.

Awesome prepper fiction story!

I love this post apocalyptic genre and the narrator really brought life to the characters. A very good addition to the first in the series.

No Spoilers. Non stop Action Interesting Characters that are Maturing & Learning more about themselves & Each other including more information on the allies that make up the alien races that are part of the alliance long with some very interesting History Especially Concerning The Byotai. Just a personal wish the IAB should come in to help.

First rate story with almost continuous action.

I love this book. If you have ever served with n the military, the oddball ranks might drive you a little nuts but 400 years from now they might think ours are strange. The hero can be clueless at times but he does some unexpected and throughly outstanding things,

Editing is not great, but story line and the method of delivery ...

Almost all of these books are "can't put down"! Editing is not great, but story line and the method of delivery is extraordinary. I have pretty much loved everything written by M. Thomas!

I just love the story and the plot line!

The Story Continues...

Who was your favorite character and why?

In this book in the series, I'd have to say Sheridan is my favorite character as we get to see some depth that she hasn't shown in previous books in this series.

Have you listened to any of Ray Greenleys other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to other works by Greenley. He continues to show development as a narrator and has a pleasant speaking voice that continues to set a smooth pace for the Atomic Sea books.

Great ending to the series

I enjoyed this story, it wrapped up the series beautifully. Although, no storybook ending; it's a survivalist story after all. The guy got the gal, great heroes were made and favorite characters were lost and our heroes lived happily ever after....Well as much as you can be happy in a survivalist story.

The second Great book

This is the Second book by Mr. Sith that I have thoroughly enjoyed. I could not put it down. a well written and truly entertaining. Thank you Sir.

great book, great series

this book had more slow parts they I cared for but the overall book was worth it. maybe a few more books starting rider is in order now.
