Even more worrisome is the tall dark stranger, and everyone else in town believes she's some woman named Josephine Rogers who is supposed to be dead.
Jack Stanton can't believe the clerk gave him an occupied room at the Shady Villa Inn, but worse, he was ready to ravage the woman in that bed-until he realized his mistake. Now the woman he thinks is Josephine claims to be some other woman-and though he could never abide by Josephine's fickle ways, this Lisa Welsh intrigues him like no other. Still, if she isn't Josephine, he figures he best help her find her way back to where she really belongs no matter how much he wants to keep her with him.
Together, Lisa and Jack must solve the mysteries and face the troubles in their worlds or they will never be free to share the love that binds them across the ages.

High School Class Reading
I believe this is a standalone book.
There is a lot going on in this story. Time-travel, murder, ghosts, embezzlement, outlaws, twin-like appearances, etc... If you're looking for a story that will make you think, this is definitely for you!
This is for the audiobook - I wasn't a huge fan of the narration. It seemed like a reading in high school - no emotion or inflections. If you enjoy that type of narration, however, it would be perfect for you!
Terrible
Would you try another book from Terry Spear and/or Cathy Schrecongost?
Yes
What do you think your next listen will be?
Do not know
What three words best describe Cathy Schrecongosts performance?
I wanted to tear my hair out, she read like she was reading to a child, no character.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from A Ghost of a Chance at Love?
all of it
Today we find our heroes plunging to disaster!
Would you consider the audio edition of A Ghost of a Chance at Love to be better than the print version?
I cannot compare as I've not read the book.
What did you like best about this story?
Oh Good Heavens!!!!! This romance blends sexy cowboys, time travel, possessing spirits, ghosts, outlaws, embezzlers, and more dastardly villains than I could count into a Holy Smokes!!!!, Did-that-really-happen? adventure!
Which scene was your favorite?
The totally unexpected ending!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I was terrified when Pauline was mauled by the cougar.
Any additional comments?
Lisa Welch is an extraordinary damsel-in-distress who commutes from present day to the old west through-out the tale. The transport through time was not intentional at first. My heart went out to her as I could certainly relate to the confusion and helplessness she felt. As the story progressed, she faced multiple unresolved conflicts in both time periods that seemed to proliferate with a life of their own and each chapter seemed to end in a cliffhanger as Lisa was menaced by assorted totally despicable villains. Each situation seemed certain to result in Lisa's immediate death, imprisonment, kidnapping, mauled by wild animals, and more.
Our hero, Jack Stanton, was a yummy, honest, very kissable cowboy who was also understandably quite bewildered at first by Lisa.
