Engrossing story. I hope there will be many more yet to come

The concept of "time travel" was hard for me to get into -- at first. I liked the romance of Torie and Dave. and since I was raised in Iowa, I could visualize most of the described scenes. And Ms. Roquet has a rare gift for describing places and people. I planned to skim through the book one evening just to see what had transpired and go to bed early. Then I reluctantly laid my Kindle aside at 3:00 a.m. I don't usually enjoy fantasy but since Ms. Roquet has given life and depth of character to some "bad guys"(and good) among the time travelers, the plot thickens. If I were a screen or TV writer, I would want movie rights.

I enjoyed this read!

I was so happy to discover there was a third book! I enjoy time travel romances and love Dave and Torie and their continuing story. Their characters and the secondary characters are well written. The plot is detailed but no so much so that you can get lost in it. I find on time travel books, sometimes too many details become confusing and it's easy to lose the thread of the plot. The only thing I found unrealistic is that a year passed before Dave and Torie were willing to admit they were warping on their own., I didn't feel that was true to their unique relationship and their strong bond and love for each other. They were in huge danger during their warps and the fact that they chose not to share that with each other was very disconcerting to me. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this book and I am a fan of Dana Roquet. I will definitely read Ms. Roquet's books and enjoy them immensely.

Wonderful end

What a great end to such an emotionally charged series. There were laughs and tears along the way with these two characters. I felt as though I was right there with them experiencing all their ups and downs and loving all their interactions. A must read series.

I Wish This Author Would Write More Books!!

I didn't think the series could get any better after reading Book 1 and 2, but Book 3 is the best one. This author really knows how to keep your attention, and I did not like to have to put the book down. I really am glad I found this series!!

I feel this book is the best out of the series. The suspense of the twists and turns and the drawing you in to the lives of the charactors is like having them right there as your own friends.

Could use more scifi

Note: Even though this is Book 176 in the series, it works just fine as a stand alone story.

Ava and Michelle work in housekeeping about a luxury star cruiser. Nate and Win are scoundrels with their own shipping company. The 1Night Stand dating service puts Ava and Nate together on a blind date. However, they knew each other as teens and bumping into each other again is a surprise. Sparks ignite, literally! Theres a flame-ruined bedsheet to prove it!

Now Nate has this little problem and a bit of secret. Hes part Clostrian, an alien race that was driven into extinction because they were labeled terrorists. Nate literally has explosive orgasms that leave things aflame. Also, he has to sleep for day or two afterwards in order to recharge, so fleeing the scene isnt always possible. Obviously, this puts a damper on his love-making agenda. which left me wondering how or why he signed up with the dating service (plot hole? nah. just look away).

The romance starts off a bit awkward, but then turns sweet and steamy, and dives right into the hot and smokey stuff. I liked the mix of humor and sexy, though the overall story could have used a bit more humor. Later, theres the requisite (and predictable) misunderstanding followed by a makeup. Also, Win and Michelle have found each other to be compatible.

I did like the part about Ava worrying about her parents and how they would feel about her running off with her new-found love. Not to worry! They have their own lives and friends. Hooray! That part gave me a chuckle.

All around, it was a cute little tale with just a smidge of scifi thrown in. Personally, I would have liked a lot more scifi mixed in with the sexy bits.

Pretty Good Book

I have read a lot of similiar books within the last year and although this one is not one of my favorites, it was pretty good. Just not one of my favorites. This is a new author for me, so will try another of her novels to see if maybe I like it better. I know sometimes although one book may not be to me liking but will enjoy others they have written.

Eeeh

I am going to start out by saying that I only read about 150 pages before I really had to stop (thus the three stars as opposed to a lower rating). Honestly, I don't think reading much more of the book would have changed my opinion. The idea itself isn't bad at all, in fact I like the idea. The way that the idea is executed, however, not so much.

Spoilers...

Right at the start of the book there is someone making an attack at our dear heroine and she is protected by our typical sexy God-thing before being whisked away for her own "protection". This scene is incredibly short and lacking any sort of suspense, mainly because there isn't any feeling, her character is just there, being angry towards God-Guy while being shot at. You get nothing on the character before the attack occurs and because I didn't have any real attachment to the character I simply didn't care about what was happening.

The angry-damsel-being-saved-by-angry-hero goes on for a little while then, suddenly, a sexual attraction mysteriously appears and it bounces around between the woman (I already forgot her name)being completely uninterested (sans the occasional gawking) to her spreading his legs and doing whatever he (forgot his name too) wants. The sex scene (I only made it through one) was vague and not all that steamy as there wasn't enough emotional and physical detail there to keep me interested.

The characters didn't seem to have too much depth to them (though I really didn't stick around too long to truly know if they develop in a favorable manner), it bounced from point-of-view to point-of-view but it didn't get too far into the mind of the character and even then they didn't really have their own voice and personality. I think the strongest character there is Kur (the bad guy) and that's because his intentions are out-right and his point-of-view has its own air and personality to it.

However, again, I only read a hundred-something pages! This was just what I thought from what I read and it bothered me enough that I put it down.

The Fury

Sloan McBride captured my attention right away with this book, I could not put it down until the last page was turned. I can't wait for the next one! I loved the characters!

Fabulous Shifter Followup!

Her Wolf, Her Savior is a great followup to Elixa Everett's first book in this series. In this volume, the plot thickens, the action ramps up, and so does the steam!

When we last left Adriana and Ian, they were lovers who'd accepted each other and meant to take the ultimate plunge into binding their lives together. Now, Adriana accompanies her Alpha and discovers his complex relationship with the shifter pack. The Claiming ritual is a big deal in the werewolf world, and not every wolf is nearly as accepting of Adriana as Ian is - especially when big secrets come rolling out.

I loved the intensity in this paranormal romance packed with suspense. Everett builds on her characters histories, setting the stage for new conflicts and spicier moments between her and heroine. Her shifters are complicated and powerful, but they retain a human element that helps drive the story.

Looking forward to the next book!

Her Wolf, Her Savior

Picking up where the previous story left off, Ian and Adrianna are faced with performing the ritual claiming before the pack for their mate bond to be formally recognized, but no one could have predicted the consequences of allowing the ritual to be completed and the problems that would arise because of it. I thought the ideas behind this story were great, the cougar/wolf feud and the mystery surrounding Adrianna's origins, but I felt it was a little heavy on the sex and the sex scenes seems to be kind of clumsily interspersed with the plot-driven action. Wished it could have flowed a bit more easily from one to the other, and I'd have liked Adrianna to be a little less petulant on occasion, but I liked the story enough that I kept wanting to know what would happen next. Whether it has to do with the mate bond or if it is just Ian, I love his selfless devotion to Adrianna, willing to take on his own pack and anything else that dares to threaten her . . . can't ask for more than that in a good hero. I hope to see a part 3 to this story, seeing as there seemed to be plenty of material left to be explored with this story.

Great follow up!

Loved it! This was a much more meaty read than the first instalment, coming in at twice the length (though of course length isn't everything, wink wink).

Great read, story could be stronger.

I really wanted to love this book. It has a great concept but it is all over the place.

I feel like there is more still to tell in this story. It felt like it really wanted to be a menage not a couple. Perhaps it was because Luciana spends more time getting busy with Nick than with the hero Ethan. Maybe there will be another book that ties it all together.

The book is a short read, that makes it jump the timeline. It really felt like it could have been expanded and really fleshed out. I liked what I was reading, and wanted more show, less tell.

The steamy scenes are hawt!!! Luciana is in charge of her sexuality and is not afraid to scratch her itch!

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Meghan Kelly, who I have enjoyed on several smexy reads! She has a great quality to her voice that draws you into the story. Her voices are distinct and consistent throughout the swift read. She puts just the right amount of energy into the smexy scenes, really brings the heat! She is always a delight and I can not wait to have happy ears with her narration!

Overall, this was a good read, it just needed more. I could see threads of a series and hope to see more of the 13th floor!

Eolyn is one of the best stories I've read in a long time, hands down. As a young girl, trag leads Eolyn to an old woman who is a Maga in hiding. Though magic is now forbidden to women, Eolyn is thrilled at the wonderful things she is learning under Gemena's tutelage. The young girl meets an unlikely friend who also knows a bit about magic. What she doesn't know is who the boy really is, or how many ways their lives are entwined..

An Elegant Tale of Love and Magic

Karin Gastreich composes a story like a finally woven tapestry; the plot and characters are intricately involved and all looses ends are tied. The prose is vibrant and sensational, without being too wordy. The characters are all clearly defined as their varying motivations come to light. Really, this is a beautifully written tale. Its only flaw is that the main character does not seem to possess enough angency and influence to affect the plot. More things happen to her than she makes things happen. Hopefully, in future volumes this will change. All that said, I still recommend this book.

Because...Who Knows Why?

I'm not usually one to complain about a free book, but I feel obligated to warn anyone who might actually spend money on this.

It's bad.

This is the kind of vampire book that has recently (i.e. since Twilight) made me embarrassed to admit that I love vampire stories the way I love breathing. And that kind of makes me mad.

Sure, Callie is an 18 year old girl who makes mistakes, but they're not very interesting ones, even if you throw in a hot undead rock star.

No real plot to be found here, no character development either. The only real emotion evoked by this tale is to feel very sorry for Blade, the other point to this sorry love triangle, for getting mixed up in the pages of this supposed narrative.

And to make matters worse, the narrator kind of has a lisp, or at least performs the main character as having one, and it is extremely annoying.

Beware, beware. Here, there be BAD writing.

A different view on the templars

This book series gives you a totally different view of the Templars. Historically, they have been both praised and villified, but there is not much about them after their leader was burned for heresy. This series makes you think twice about everything you have read and learned about the Knights Templar. A lot of the Knights are former noblemen, who gave their lives to fight evil. They are sexy, strong, and have a commitment that has kept them going for many many years. Their eternal fight for good vs evil, and their search for their prophesized mates, are a phenomenal read. The characters are strong, and their women are just as strong.

A Great Read

Claire Ashgrove has done it again. I thoroughly enjoyed the world she created in book one of The Curse of the Templars series, Immortal Hope, and she has followed through with an equally compelling story in Immortal Surrender. The heroine, Dr. Noelle Keane is wonderful in her brilliant quirkiness, while Noelle's counterpart, Farran, is delicious but deeply troubled. I look forward to the third installment, Immortal Trust. One additional note: Despite Farran's baggage, I would let that man give me a bath any day! Well done!

Absolutely LOVE this series!

I have read the entire Imortal series by Ms. Ashgrove and loved them all. They are well written, interesting, action packed, and include a beautiful love story throughout. To me, this is Paranormal romance at it's best! I would highly recommend this series and can't wait for another installment to come out from this author.

If you like fantasy/romance these are an amazing read! This was good second installment, and I cannot wait to get my hands on the 3rd!

A Great second in the series

The curse came when Farran de Clare and his brother knights of the Templar went against orders and discovered a forbidden scroll. Yesterday's Kiss not up to Carly Fall's typical writing abilities.

2.5 stars for yesterday's kiss. Typically I really enjoy Carly Fall's books, but yesterday's kiss isn't anything like any of her other books.

Spoiler alert:

The main character lives a pretty miserable life goes on vacation and runs into a ghost from one of her past lives. Meeting him throws her for a loop she thinks she is losing her mind decides to leave wreaks her car dies and chooses to remain on earth as a ghost to be with her past life husband. That's pretty much the entire book all summed up into one paragraph, I typically prefer books that have much more content.

Timeless love

What can I say to explain how much I loved Yesterday's Kiss? I am lost for words, I absolutely loved it. Actually I read this book in one day. This will be a book I will definitely be reading again. The tears shed were happy, heartfelt tears. Once again Carly Fall has proven just how extremely talented she is. The 5 stars are not enough for me, wish I could give her more!

Forever

Carly Fall does it again. She pulls you into the story, you feel all the emotions hate, betrayal, sadness, love, fear and hope. In the end the tears are happy tears even if you might want a different ending, the ending is just as perfect as love found again. I will read this book again and again.

Sweet Book!

This was an all around nice sweet book. I loved the story concept with the past and present meeting. It would be nice to think that true love transcends time.

not a good read

For me it was not a good read and could not even finish it. I don't get the obsession of being in love with ghosts unless its a metaphor for the kind of love women have in their imagining.
