Today’s podcast is taken from an April 2001 General Conference by Elder Boyd K. Packer, who was serving as the acting president of the Quorum of the Twelve. Elder Packer was a master teacher who taught even the most complex topics with clarity. His many years of church service were characterised by his humility, his love of the scriptures and his apostolic witness. In this conference address Elder Packer speaks of the issue of guilt within the gospel. We all make mistakes. It is then in our nature to feel guilt and humiliation and suffering, which we alone cannot cure. Elder Packer powerfully testifies that is when the healing power of the Atonement will help.

Today's podcast is taken from an October 2015 General Conference address by Elder Dallin H. Oaks, who at the time was serving as a member of the Quorum of the Twelve. Elder Oaks is well known for his willingness to speak frankly about challenging issues, such as speaking in defence of the traditional family, addressing threats to religious liberty, and decrying the evils of pornography. In this address, Elder Oaks teaches about the Atonement of Jesus Christ - it's immense scale and scope. Because of His Atonement, the Saviour has the power to succour—to help—every mortal pain and affliction.

In this devotional, Elder Maxwell intends to convey his excitement over the "vastness and preciousness" of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He discusses how gaining knowledge and become Christlike are at the core of the gospel. In this sense the gospel is inexhaustible because there is so much to learn and therefore so much to become. Therefore, truth is acquired knowledge in the mind expressed in one's own life through actions and behaviours.

Today’s podcast is taken from a 20011 BYU devotional given by brother Brad Wilcox, who was serving as a member of the Sunday School General Board of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the time. Brother Wilcox is an BYU professor and author, best known for his contributions to an understanding of the doctrine of grace in the context of LDS theology, and its practical applications on a day-to-day basis. His books, particularly the Continuous Atonement, the Continuous Conversion and Changed Through His Grace, are life changing to many who struggle with feelings such as low self-worth, perfectionism, and other challenges, providing a source of great comfort. In this address brother Wilcox discusses how God's grace not only provides ultimate forgiveness, it also makes available power through the Atonement of Jesus Christ to help us as we learn to become more like the Saviour.

Holland, an apostle of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Elder Holland is a beloved LDS speaker known for his empathy, understanding and acknowledging the struggles of life, reflected in this address. 

In this devotional he discusses the Prophet Joseph Smith's imprisonment in Liberty jail - the misery, the stark surroundings, the suffering, and ultimately the revelations and spiritual connection with heaven that emerged from such challenging times in this "prison temple". In this address, Elder Holland suggests that spiritual, revelatory and sacred experiences can come to every one of us in the many different circumstances of our lives, through faith in Jesus Christ. In fact, his message is that we can all have sacred, revelatory, profoundly instructive experiences with the Lord in any situation we face, even the most miserable experiences of our lives. As such, there are lessons to be learnt from such experiences, 3 of which are discussed by Elder Holland.
