Laughing with Myself

Melissa laughs about copying people she looks up to, the hideous sound she makes when she gets frightened by a moth, and the sensitive stories behind her tattoos.

Melissa laughs about not wanting to be in the soak zone, how her siblings play band during Christmas, how she misses her Michael Jackson impression.

Melissa laughs about the things in her grandparents cabin, how she used to be called Skinny Bone Jones, and how she chooses mountains over beaches. And how she sleeps through holidays. Also she sings Celine and Bocelli.

Melissa laughs about singing in choir and looking at the sky and how she is a quiet focused driver.

Melissa laughs about how bad her Spanish is, her excitement to be an auntie, and when she finds old undies tangled in her pants.

Melissa laughs about her back spasms and anime sounds and how once she got mooned in the middle of the street and peed her pants laughing.

Melissa laughs about corny radio commercials, her leftover teen angst, and how she used to smell the back part of her headgear. Also how her parents rock for bringing burritos.

Melissa laughs doing impressions of giggling babies and Yoda.  Also about butt dials and she attempts a nice cover of “How Far I’ll Go” from Moana on her ukulele.

Melissa laughs about her sneezes sounding like Link, her "Michael Jackson" robe, and the word Pickleball.

Melissa laughs about watching a squirrel eat fast and how her mom keeps her grounded and how Fiona Apple sings like a spy. Oh and her new big hot crush she has for singer Carlos Rivera.
