This week, for the very first time, I have two guests on, Ishtar and Valeria. Valeria is a change advocate, healer, Akashic Records teacher, community builder, motivational speaker and conscious-living ambassador. Ishtar Bäcklund Dakhil, is an illustrator and visual artist from Sweden. She spends her time travelling the world, working with both self driven artistic projects within local communities as well as working  commercially with clients.  

After not fitting in most of her life and dealing with self-destructive behaviours, Valeria started the healing journey that would change her life forever. In 2010 she co-founded Longboard Girls Crew, the now biggest community in the action sports industry that empowers girls and women in more than 60 countries. She’s now devoted to her non-profit Longboard Women United, helping hundreds of girls and women in extremely unprivileged areas around the world.

Ishtar’s creative explorations of the picture book format has led her to new & innovative ways of inviting readers into the reading experience, through interaction via VR techniques. The interplay between analog & digital design is a form that she recurrently works with. Ishtar’s interest in personal narratives & themes of cultural belonging has also led her to further investigate innovative educational methods to share tools within visual storytelling. Through her process based workshops format titled “The Place that Hurts & Glitters” she explores and facilitates creative ways to recreate and work around personal narratives through visual communication. 

Valeria exposes the system and advocates for change in her many talks and conferences, including two TEDx Talks. Through her 1:1 sessions, mentoring, workshops, group channelings, newsletter and guided meditations she helps people heal, thrive and align to their soul purpose.

In Valeria’s own words: “In a system pushing us to live in fear, living in Love is a revolutionary act. The time is now. We were born to anchor and expand the new frequencies to manifest the new earth and we can only do it together”. She lives in the mountains near Esporles, in Mallorca.

This week I have as my guest Françoise Molenaar who is a meditation teacher and shaman who specializes in fertility and pregnancy loss. As an award-winning political scientist and conflict researcher, she used to travel the world to study and advice on how communities can increase their resilience in the face of violent conflict and extremism. But as her own fertility journey progressed along the way, she felt an increasing need to embrace a softer, more feminine side of herself that would bring back balance and joy in everyday life. She now guides other women on their fertility journeys as a 1-on-1 coach, a women’s group facilitator, and podcast host.

Lara Charlotte was born in Aotearoa, New Zealand and descends from settler colonisers of mostly English, Irish and Scottish lineage. Since 2012 she left a corporate career due to a personal health crisis and has since immersed in a journey of soul remembrance, transformational healing and devotional service. She spent over 5 years in full-time training with traditional shamanic plant medicines in the Peruvian Amazon, a path she continues with until now. Lara also co-founded a retreat centre working with hundreds of guests in deep transformational processes. 

She has trained to be trauma informed and hold a space for others that is mindful of diversity, western mental health frameworks and the ongoing process of personal awakening throughout our lives and across generations. Lara is a devoted lover of the mythic realms that are discovered in deep relationship with self, body, nature and story across time and space. Her current work draws on the range of modalities listed here and is adapted to suit the unique needs of each person and situation. She has also featured on various podcasts and presents to workshops and trainings on her work and life experiences.

Marguerite Rigoglioso, Ph.D., is the founding director of Seven Sisters Mystery School, where she serves as teacher, mentor, and Oracle of the Dove Priestess with a special attunement to Ix Cacao. The foremost authority on the history of virgin birth, Rigoglioso is the author of the bold new award-winning book The Mystery Tradition of Miraculous Conception: Mary and the Lineage of Virgin Births. She has taught graduate and undergraduate courses in the US and UK, and in 2012 founded Seven Sisters Mystery School, through which she’s been teaching about the Sacred Feminine and mentoring clients on the evolutionary spiritual path. This week’s episode guest is Tova Olsson who has been teaching yoga and meditation for nearly 20 years. She holds a MA in religious studies from the University of Gothenburg and is specialised in yogic and tantric traditions. She teaches the philosophy section of several yoga teacher trainings and is appreciated for her skills in storytelling and her ability to explain philosophical ideas in an approachable, embodied and humorous ways. She is currently working on her PhD at Umeå University in Sweden, researching the construction of gender in contemporary, european tantra.
