Season 5, Episode 7 | In this final episode of season 5 on our Core programs, we’re joined by a panel of seven LCS high school students from our Musical Theatre 9–12 course who recently brought Tarzan: The Musical to life on the stage. Our students explore how the performing arts have become a vibrant pillar in our school community as well as the impact of the performance on their identity and deepening faith. 

Students reflect on the roles that they were casted, the spiritual themes in Tarzan, and the joy and challenges of performance. They share how the course has impacted their relationship with God and equipped them to live with courage, humility, and purpose.

We also share some details about our upcoming musical next year to continue growing the performing arts program and inviting families to partner together in the work of helping every student thrive.

Season 5, Episode 7 | In this thought provoking episode with three of our Grade 11 students that participated in one of our international service learning experiences, we explore God’s heart for the world and transformation in our community. Tune in to hear about our service learning program and the impact it is having on our students. This is one of the ways we are seeking to help students live purposefully and be equipped for building God’s kingdom as they learn from others.

Season 5, Bonus Episode |

In this episode, Kevin shares on John 15:1-7 and how Christian educators can thrive in purpose, learning, and relationships. A Christian Biblical and theological vision of thriving in our abiding is shared. Kevin aims to tell the Biblical story through poetry and reflection, inviting educators to engage in spiritual practices in their Christian school communities. A conversational framework for Christian schools is also shared that highlights some upcoming organizational research on adaptive workplaces.

Season 5, Episode 4 | Berkley and Kevin sit down with Jon Kuehl, Jon Mayan, and Terry Neufeld to explore how LCS’ athletics program serves as a unique space for spiritual formation, rooted a Biblical theology of athletics. They discuss how the program is intentionally designed to support students’ development through competition, teamwork, and Christlike character-building. As families are seeking programs for their children to draw out their unique giftings, tune in to hear about the development of the K-12 athletics journey at LCS, which integrates faith at every level, and how the LCS learner profile serves as a driving foundation for athletic and spiritual development. The conversation includes inspiring stories of how God is at work on and off the field, as well as practical ways for families to support their children’s growth in their faith through sports while chauffeuring their student athletes to school and engaging in meaningful conversations.

Season 5, Episode 3 |

In this special episode, Berkley and Kevin are joined by Mr. Seppelt and three of our Grade 12 students to reflect on their service learning experience to the Bronx. These service learning experience offer LCS students a unique opportunity to embody our core values by serving others and learning beyond the classroom. Mr. Seppelt shares the vision behind these transformative experiences, while the students open up about their personal and spiritual growth, challenges, and deep sense of community they discovered while serving.
