Scott Mautz is a keynote speaker, researcher and author of the book Leading From The Middle: A Playbook for Managers to Influence Up, Down, and Across the Organization. Drawing on his research on middle managers and his work as a keynote speaker, Scott makes the case for why middle managers are more important than ever, but are still overlooked and underinvested in, despite their importance and value delivered inside organizations. 

During our conversation, Scott spoke about how middle managers have become even more critical as a result of how the world of work has changed and evolved since the pandemic. Scott also shared how the best middle managers manage the complexity of the role, so that they can lead from the middle in today’s world of work.
