L’agriturismo

Se stai pianificando una vacanza in Italia, molto probabilmente conosci già una tipologia di vacanza che ha riscosso molto successo e che è tipicamente italiana- l’agriturismo. Invece di stare in albergo, i turisti possono trascorrere la loro vacanza in bellissime case di campagna. Questo particolare genere di turismo è nato diversi anni fa, quando contadini e piccoli proprietari di aziende agricole offrivano generosamente le loro camere o case a persone provenienti dalle città.

A quel tempo, gli ospiti venivano coinvolti nei lavori rurali- si prendevano cura degli animali, collaboravano nella preparazione di prodotti tipici come olio, vino e formaggio.

Questo tipo di vacanza ha ottenuto un grande successo e la sua popolarità si è diffusa in tutta Europa a tal punto che ha dovuto innovarsi per rispondere alle esigenze di un nuovo target di turisti.

Infatti, se mai ti capiterà di visitare un agriturismo, non troverai una vera casa di campagna, ma, una meravigliosa villa fornita di tutti i comfort necessari. Non ti si chiederà più di collaborare con i contadini, ma ti sarà piuttosto data la possibilità di fare equitazione, giocare a tennis o golf e goderti una meravigliosa piscina.

L’agriturismo promuove un tipo diverso di vacanza, lontano dal tran tran delle città e in stretto contatto con la natura.

I primi agriturismi sono nati tra dolci colline coltivate, in regioni come la Toscana e l’Umbria, ma ora si possono trovare un po’ dappertutto nel territorio italiano- a volte si trovano a soli pochi chilometri dalla costa o alle porte di famose città d’arte.

Sfortunatamente, a causa delle attività ricreazionali promosse per incrementare la domanda turistica, molti paesaggi sono stati rovinati per la costruzione di enormi infrastrutture. Ad ogni modo, l’agriturismo continua ad essere una valida alternativa agli hotel e permette alle persone di rilassarsi in un ambiente piacevole e naturale.

The agriturismo

If you’re planning a vacation in Italy, you’re probably aware of a type of vacation, which is very popular and is typically Italian- the “agriturismo”. Instead of staying in a hotel, tourists can spend their vacation in beautiful country houses. This particular genre of tourism was born several years ago, when farmers and small rural business owners used to generously offer their rooms or houses to people coming from the cities.

At that time, guests were involved in rural activities- they took care of animals, helped in the preparation of typical products such as oil, wine and homemade cheese.

This type of vacation has gained such a great success and popularity across Europe that it had to innovate its original features to better accommodate the demands of a new target of tourists.

In fact, if you’ll ever be visiting an “agriturismo”, you won’t find a real country-house but a beautiful and modern villa, equipped with all the comforts. You won’t be required to help out with the farmers anymore, but you’ll be given the chance to ride horses, play tennis or golf and enjoy a beautiful swimming pool.

The “agriturismo” promotes a different type of vacation, far away from the cities’ routine and in close contact with nature.

The first “agriturismo” were born among gentle cultivated hills, in regions as Tuscany and Umbria, but now you can find them everywhere in Italy- sometimes they’re located just some miles off the coast or at the gates of famous city.
