There are 20 Chinese tone pairs. Listening to words one after another with the same combination is a great way to learn and remember tone pairs.
The pairs appear in this order 1-1 1-2 1-3 1-4 1-5;2-1;2-2... 5-5.
As a reminder
1 mā /2 má/ 3 mǎ/ 4 mà / 5 ma
