A new year brings new opportunities, new ways of looking at things and, perhaps, new challenges. We make resolutions, promise ourselves that this will be the year we keep them, but we all know that in a week, a month, or if we are fortunate, maybe longer, we will often fall short of our goals. The problem could be that we have too many resolutions; ultimately, they are too heavy of a lift. As this new year begins, try identifying fewer, more attainable goals. Keep them simple; perhaps strive to pray more frequently or be more charitable. If we all commit to doing the few things well we can achieve, we will achieve them. Most especially, rely not on yourself but upon the strength that God provides. Happy New Year!
