Lesson 174: Leadership Requires Sacrifice
To lead, you have to be prepared to sacrifice. It comes with the territory. If you are not willing to sacrifice then you shouldn't pick up the mantle of leadership. Remember, leadership is voluntary (mostly) and if you are not up to it, it's ok to let go and follow. There's nothing wrong with being a follower if you are not willing to lead.
PROMPT: When was the last time you had to sacrifice as a leader? What was the sacrifice? Was it worth it?

Lesson 173: Share What You Know
To grow you have to study. To grow you have to keep learning. However, to be sure you actually know that thing, it isn't just enough to put it into practice but to be able to share that knowledge, to teach it. If you know something, don't just keep it to yourself, share it and watch it grow.
PROMPT: What knowledge do you have that you share with others? When was the last time you did?

Lesson 172: Leave A Trail
When you are on the path to success, it's a great idea to leave a trail for others so they can find that success. It might look different for them but share things you've learned that got you from where you were to where you are now.

Lesson 171: Push Yourself More Than You Do Anyone Else
If you are given the opportunity to lead, you have to make sure you are not just delegating but that you are leading from the front. It's easier to have your team get on board when they see you are working as hard as they are if not even harder. When you push yourself, you get better and you grow.

Lesson 170: Make The Team Look Good
When you are working on a team project, focus on your task while thinking of the bigger scale. Understand that no matter the size of the task you are doing, it is important to the project as a whole. When you are focused on the team and making the team look good, something magical happens, everyone ends up looking amazing!

Lesson 169: It Matters To You... Not To Them
Have you set out to do something, gotten a group together, and end up frustrated because it feels like they are not as committed to the task as you are? Sucks right? Well, what you need to understand is this, people are almost more interested in their thing (whatever that thing might be) than your thing. It goes both ways too. The thing that is super important to you might not be as important to others and that's it.
PROMPT: When was the last time you discovered that just because something means a lot to you, it doesn't mean much to others? What was it?

Lesson 168: Don't Make Decisions When You Are Angry
One thing my mom always says is to never make decisions when you are angry. If you are angry, take some time out and calm down, think things through before you make a decision. Almost every decision you make while you are angry will be the wrong one and that decision might cost you a lot! When you are angry, don't make decisions.
PROMPT: Have you made a decision while angry that cost you? If yes, what happened?

Lesson 167: If It's Time To Drop Them, Drop Them
I suck at letting people go and so I tend to stretch relationships longer than they should. This is something I am working on because I know that when a relationship is done, it's done. We should all just let go and move on. It makes life a lot easier for everyone involved if we let go and move on.
PROMPT: Do you find it difficult to drop friends that you know are bad for you? Why?

Lesson 166: End Stronger Than You Started
It's a great idea to start strong in everything you do. However, even more than the beginning, you have to make sure you end super strong. I believe the ending matters even more than the beginning because that sticks with people a lot more. Plus endings are really difficult to accomplish so if your ending is good, you will definitely stand out.
PROMPT: How strong did you end your last project?

Lesson 165: Start Strong
When you have to start anything, make sure you put your best foot forward! I believe that the stronger you start, the better it is in the long haul. When you start strong, you build awesome momentum that will keep you going through the project. It also feels good to start strong. Give it a shot and you'll see.
PROMPT: How strong did you start your latest project?
