  • Ep 057: We Are the Champions

Have you ever felt like you are not enough?  I know I have. As a matter of fact, anytime I am stretching outside of my comfort zone, and going for hitting the next level in my life.  Since we are being honest here, this podcast just may have brought that up from time to time.  What are times where you feel like you are not enough?  The question here is, are we really not enough?  Or are we doubting who we really are, and who we are for people, our purpose in life, and what we have to contribute?  I believe in my whole heart we are enough, in fact, I believe we are all more than enough, we are human beings having a human experience, and therefore it is natural we are going to argue for limitations from time to time.

My goal is that you argue for your greatness, and our Champion will assist us in doing just that.

Here are the highlights from this episode:

{3:43} When do you doubt yourself?

{5:31} How we argue for the things that limit us when we can argue for our greatness

    {6:58} The Imposter

{8:54} Four signs that the Imposter is at play

    • You feel like a fraud

    • You find it difficult to receive praise

    • You overwork yourself

    • You don't believe failure is an option

{16:04} Strategies to overcome the Imposter

    1. Tell on yourself

    2. Separate the feelings from the facts

    3. Recognize when you should feel fraudulent

    4. Accentuate the positive

    5. Develop a new response to failure and mistake making

    6. Change the rules you're operating from

    7. Change the script

    8. Visualize success

    9. Acknowledge yourself

    10. Confidence before competence

{25:20} Our Champion is our biggest fan

{26:59} Your champion embraces excellence versus perfection.

  • Ep 056: DIY Your Life

I don’t think I can speak or coach enough on today’s topic, and that is the topic of harmony.  I’ve said this before and I will say it again, we live in a society that asks us to go bigger, faster, stronger, harder.  And I am personally getting really excited that more and more people are getting that it’s not about grabbing a bigger plate, that self-care really is not being selfish and the very thing that will help you continue to be the best version of you.

I am about ready to take on the next level in my business and currently already have a full plate in which I will not go and grab the banquet platter, I keep reminding myself I am in charge and I can “DIY my life”, what does that mean?  Do you really “do it yourself? Of course not, it takes a village, and that is not a joke, ask for help. Repeat after me ask for help! I also really feel like what’s occurring for one is occurring for all at some level, so thought you would love to visit the land of harmony with me and dig deeper into why it can be challenging to set boundaries so that we are living a life in alignment with our priorities.

Here are the highlights from this episode:

{4:58} Harmony is about having your life work

{6:03} Creating your vision takes a village

    {10:57} Designing your harmony checklist

    {11:07} The 5 life priorities:

    • Yourself

    • Spirituality

    • Family Relationships

    • Career

    • Heath

{13:29} Asking yourself why these are priorities?

{14:28} 3 really important questions to ask yourself

    1. Why is this a priority?

    2. Why is it important?

    3. What will having this priority work mean to me?

    {15:20} What boundaries actually are

{21:24} How 'work boundaries' work for me

  • Ep 055: You’ve Got to Have High Hopes

You have probably heard me say on more than one of these episodes that “hope is not a strategy; it is in fact a way that we cope” and by the way, it is completely ok.  The reason it is not a strategy is that it is not backed up by any action, however, I want to broaden the concept of HOPE and even suggest that it can actually be part of your strategy in taking the lead in your life.

The concept of hope has become super interesting to me.  Let’s start with the opposite of having hope as being “stuck”.  Stuck means you can’t grow.  If you can’t grow and improve, you become more “stuck” and even discouraged.

Today we are going to discuss how hope as a noun coupled with a belief beyond reason, an action plan, and unwavering commitment will have you creating the results you want consistently in your life.  So get your hopes up so high you can’t help but stand tall with your arms in the air and slay the day.

Here are the highlights from this episode:

{5:40} The opposite of having hope

{6:32} The difference between hope as a noun and a verb

{8:33} How a solid mindset means one is ready to serve rather than two to be served

{10:04} 6 important mantras that are important to the mindset of a leader.

    1. I have a commitment to succeed

    2. I am adaptable

    3. I am a peak performer

    4. I am able to deal with the struggles

    5. I am accountable

    6. I have a vision

{18:52} How this all connects to hope

  • Ep 054: Ditching the Diet with Kara Trochta, MDS, RDN, LD

How many “dieters” do we have out there? How many of you get frustrated with diets that aren’t working for you?  How many would love to have a lifestyle that supports their optimal health? My guess is there are a lot of you out there and today’s episode is for you.  I am so excited to bring on Kara Trochta, Registered Dietician, Eating Coach and Food Therapist.

As a former binge eater and self-proclaimed emotional eater who spent years calculating calories and painfully tried to eat perfectly to achieve the societal standard of health only to fail time and time again; her own frustration and confusion led her to start a practice to end people's struggle between their food choices, their weight and their feelings of worth. Kara’s goal is to help people end the stressful and guilt-laden eating chaos, and realize they can have a healthy relationship with food, eat the foods they enjoy, and not only be healthy, but happier than they've ever been. She is a wife, mom of 3 kiddos who loves feeling good in her own skin. Kara enjoys personal development and being a student of her own mind and body. She loves being outdoors, cooking, reading, barre & yoga class.

Wow! Talk about a sweet reframe “a student of her own mind and body” – how many of you are so intrigued now whether you are a dieter or not?  I know I am so let’s get into this conversation.

  • Ep 051: Own It!

Today we are going to capitalize on last week’s episode “Don’t Get It Twisted” where we dove into the importance of your mindset as a leader in your life.  Think of todays as part two.  You see the key to having more of what you want in your life is a strong mindset, ownership for what you are creating also known as accountability, being self-aware, seeking feedback, and always keeping the end goal in mind.  Let me break this down further, there are Four Keys to Success and they go hand in hand, we talked about mindset last week and now we are going to talk about three more called Ownership, Self-Awareness, and End Goal.

Do you want more ownership in your life?  I have an accountability inventory worksheet that will help you get clear on your ownership for anything you are up to.  It is a great way to declare your ownership with actionable steps and also evaluate your results.  If you want it go to my website and get on my list.  Put in the comments “I want Accountability” and we will send you the worksheet,

  • Ep 050: Don’t Get It Twisted

Today we are talking about Mindset and how it can support us through times of adversity and circumstances that aren’t going our way. Your mindset determines your success.  Skills and tools are not enough to win at the game of life.  What makes the difference is your growth mindset that enables you to make the most of them.

The key to success and the key to failure is that you become what you think.   The same is true for choosing a mindset that supports our success and by success I mean, what we choose is success to us and not what someone else defines as our success. With a fixed mindset people believe their qualities are fixed traits and therefore cannot change. With a growth mindset people believe that their qualities and abilities can be developed and grow.  It contributes to your drive, willingness, and overall foundation of belief to aim for bigger, better things. If you have a fixed mindset, you'll find yourself becoming stuck, without the motivation to achieve anything greater than what you already have.

Today we are going to discuss the keys to have a consistent growth mindset, so let’s go!
